1. From here on out, this will be in third person.

2. At one point this fanfic got ranked #24! How did that happen? I just wanted to write this right after my first breakup (the G Sans fanfic was written after my second breakup), I wrote this as a way to enjoy what I do, and all of a sudden, Wattpad: "Remember that fanfic you wrote since April of Sophomore Year? That one where you wrote it after breaking up with your abusive and manipulative ex? Yeah. That's now ranked 24 in Fanfiction."

3. Since I have about two months left before I turn in my school tablet, I need to finish or delete my unfinished published works. This I can't delete because I put so much emotion and love into this, and also I'd be disappointing everyone who read this by deleting it. So, I have to finish this.

Enough with the notes, because we're going into the story right now!

[ehhh i can't write very much XD]

(Y/N) continued to run for her life. It wasn't usual for a girl to be the answer to the end of a problematic oligarchy, especially since girls are told they are only useful in kitchens or something of a similar caliber. As she kept running, she pushed the branches and leaves away from her, passing through the makeshift road she ran down. Tired, she stopped. Of course it was dark where she was at, but she kept looking around. A long way behind her was the palace she escaped from. In front of her was more forest and trees.

It took her a while to think about what has happened before she left. The events that unfolded and secrets exposed. Arguing and lying. Breaking and entering. Compliments and threats. At first, it didn't make sense, but the more she thought about it, such thing became clear.

Either she fights for the world or let it break into pieces beyond repair.

She looked back once more, wondering what could have happened if she did have to fight. Although capable to fight, she doesn't know if she's really up to fighting against the so-called Legendary Super Saiyan. So much could happen, and just her fighting could make a difference between the planet staying in one piece or dying along with the billions of people. Then she thought about what she's doing now, which is not fighting and fleeing. Pretty soon, everything she once remembered about life would be in pieces, lives lost, and those around her gone.

Weighing the consequences, she ran back.

Trunks ran out of the palace, wondering where the heck (Y/N) ran off to. "(Y/N)!!" He already knew the screaming of her name would cause everyone to tremble and give himself way more attention than necessary, but he'd do anything to find you once more, even if it meant putting himself in danger. He continued to run, hoping to find you. Hoping to stand by your side to fight such monstrosity of a Saiyan. Mainly, hoping to be with you one last time, if you really don't want to fight. "(Y/N)!!!"

"Dammit Trunks," Goten shouted. "You're literally going to get yourself killed if you keep shouting her name!"

"Aren't we all going to get killed either way? Not like we have any choice now."

"She has a choice, and that choice she makes determines what happens with our lives! She has to fight!"

"If she doesn't, I respect what choice she makes. Not everyone would be ready to fight a battle so tremendous, and if she feels like fighting would make everything worse, then I respect that. It would be wrong to force her to do something she never liked in the first place." Knowing what was about to happen, he raised his hands up.

"What the hell are you--,"

(Y/N) ran back to the palace, a strong feeling to end it all. Seeing Trunks ahead of her, she jumped and embraced him.

Already expecting it, Trunks embraced her back. "I thought you were gone."

"I came back to fight this one out," she said.

"So you're going to fight this battle after all?"

"Yep." She stopped hugging him, stepped back, and ran toward the palace. "YOU ALL NEED TO GET EVERYONE OUT OF THE PALACE AND STAY AWAY FROM HERE!"

"Wait! I want to fight with you!"

"IT'S TOO DANGEROUS!! YOU'RE BETTER OFF HELPING EVERYONE ELSE!"

"Wait!" He ran after her, only for Goten to grab onto his arm.

"Let her be," Goten firmly said. "We don't want to create any more distractions than there already is."

"But--,"

"Listen. If you go and fight, you get injured, and she would want to stop and help you, already making her vulnerable to any attack. Just because she's powerful doesn't mean she's invincible. Just evacuate everyone and she can fight this battle without anything else to worry about."

Trunks hated to admit it. He wanted to fight with you, help you through many obstacles... But the way Goten talked about it made this seem like fighting alongside her would only create a larger distraction than intended. Of course, in a way Goten is right. He sighed. "Fine. Let's get everyone out of this hellhole."

When (Y/N) got to the top of the palace, she looked very sternly, as if she could figure the kind of opponent she's facing against. The moment he turned around, trying to look very terrifying, she hasn't moved at all. She just glared. "Sorry hun," she said, smirking. "Wedding's cancelled. And this time, it's for good."
