'Liza: Hey

'Liza: You there?

Cedar: Yep

'Liza: OK

Cedar: Why?

'Liza: I was just wondering

Cedar: OK

'Liza: I'm so excited, we'll be able to see each other at school tomorrow :)

Cedar: I know right!!!

Cedar: I have to go to bed. Need my beauty sleep for tomorrow! ;)

'Liza: OK. Bye!

Cedar: Bye!

She stood by the flagpole of the school the next day. This time, she wore a dark blue dress, with a black ribbon holding back her auburn hair. When she saw me she smiled and walked over.

"Hey. Sorry I couldn't text you that much," She said.

I shrugged, "It's fine. Besides, you're here now."

Cedar smiled again and nodded, "What's your class schedule? I never asked."

I handed her the paper with my schedule written on it. 

She nodded as she read it, "I have the same classes."

I laughed, "That's awesome!"

Cedar smiled at me again and we walked to our first class which was accelerated ELA

She was one of a kind, Cedar. The boys didn't dare come near her. Neither would the girls. Some of the teachers did, but that was only because they had too. I suppose that's because no one liked her, but to me, she was my best friend and she meant the world to me. There will never be anyone else like Cedar.
