Drews POV:
I finally made up my mind, and flicked the switch on the musky kettle once again, dropping a tea bag into the mug beside mine. He's been in there since lunch, pretty sure i want to check he's still alive.. I poured the boiling water into each mug, grinning at my own as i glanced at it.. It was brand new actually, the origional Star Wars print was wrapped around the shiny surface.. Damn, our fans are nice.. I quickly added my dollops of sugar and milk, before taking the mugs towards my bedroom door. With a deep breath, i knocked on the thin wood of the door with my elbow, smiling as his velvet voice floated through the walls. "Come in!" I pushed down on the handle, and shuffled in backwards, turning to face my crimson-haired room mate.
And even now, i couldn't help the blush that tickled at my skin. I hid under my fringe slightly, and drew on a timid smile, watching his eyes light up. He dropped the guitar that was resting across his lap, and grinned up to me from the bed. "Hey Drew!" I tore my eyes away from his perfectly stretched, smooth lips, and kicked the door shut slowly. "Heyo, made you a coffee." I smiled, shuffling over to the bed, as he instantly moved across, leaving me space on the double mattress. "Aw, thankyou Drew." He replied, much softer, as i held out the mug. His fingers soon wrapped against mine, as he slipped it from my hold, his skin sending tingles through my veins. I blushed once more, and grinned, slipping onto the bed beside him.. I watched him carefully take a sip, his fringe twitching slightly through the steam, as his perfect lips slipped around the edge.
Contain yourself Drew.. Turn away. Now.
I couldn't though. I watched how he caught some of the coffee running down his chin, swallowing with a satisfying 'mmm'.. I don't know what's got into me today.. but i couldn't actually look away. He looked to me, and leant the mug on his lap, blushing gently. "It's perfect." He grinned, leaning to put it on the desk side.. I dragged my eyes away, and smiled timidly into my lap, my stick-thin legs curled around me. There was a moment of comfortable silence between us.. before he reached over, and tugged his guitar back onto his lap. "So, what were you playing?" I smiled, my eyes travelling up to melt into his. He blushed and shrugged gently, picking at the strings. "It was just a little thing i made up, it's not very good yet." He smiled, quickly picking up a crumpled sheet, that had paragraphs of.. lyrics on, i think. "Hey, i'm sure it is.." I said quietly, smiling as he froze slightly, his eyes crawling up to mine.
My heart raced to full-speed, my lungs tightening as they did the very first time i lay eyes on him. "Are those the lyrics?" I asked as politely as i could, pointing to the paper that was clenched within his thin fingers. He looked down, and nodded, smiling up to me again. His hazel-eyes constantly upon my face. "I'd love to hear it.. Go on.. Please?" I grinned, crossing my legs on the bed, as i faced him. Blushing at how close we'd become. He bit his lip, and i watched the redness travel up his cheeks. "Alright then, just for you." He winked, facing me properly, as he adjusted the guitar in his lap. I blushed instantly, and watched as his tattooed arms became visible, settling on the muscle under his skin. I literally had to control myself.. He smirked slightly, and leant the paper on the douvet, before wrapping his fingers around the wooden neck. He leant over the intrument naturally, and let the words simply wave from his lips.
"Five drops, of rainbow, bliss down my throat. Like milkshakes on the dam, The fires.. Grisly Willow-wisps, laughing dead.." His fingers glided across the strings, as he sang through, effortlessly. I felt my lips part slightly, as he carried on, his head bopping gently to his rhythm. "I swear, i feel you near me. But your scent, will induce... Exploding, heart disorder!" His voice waved gently at the end, a blush rising across his cheeks as he glimpsed up to me, his eyes flickering from the instrument, to my own gaze. "Forgive, this trouble in my heart. Don't you know, what i'd give to take this pain away and, tear the world apart?" His flushed face flew up again, our eyes locking, as i watched his neck straining through the notes. "Look what you've done, you've lost it. All i am, is what you left behind..." He blushed quickly and soon looked down, flicking at the strings. "That's as far as i got.. at the moment." He muttered, his eyes flicking up to meet mine.
Say something Drew.. Move. I closed my now-dry mouth, and swallowed, trying to calm the blush from my skin. "I-it's about someone's feelings taking over them. Someone's scent, their looks, their voice driving you insane. Called it 'Exploding Heart Disorder'..What'ya think?" He continued, a pink tint settling to his cheeks, as he leant the guitar back onto the bed, shuffling closer to face me. I blinked quickly, and waited for my heart to quiten down.. "U-uh, t-that was..perfect." I breathed, as his eyes widened ever so slightly, a smile running across his lips. "Really?" He asked, lifting his fingers to push his silky fringe from across his golden eyes. "It was.. just.. wow." I chuckled, running a hand across the back of my neck. "I've never seen someone put so much emotion into a song.." I smiled, my eyes crawling up, getting attached to the tattoo creeping up his neck. With a quick swallow, i waited for his eyes to capture mine again.
He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it repetetively, no words seeming to form.. "You alright?.." I muttered, hesitantly moving to place my palm on his leg. Woops. My heart thudded against my chest, as if telling me to stop. To just stop right now, and leave. But i couldn't stop. I could never stop. I bit my lip, and watched as his eyes travelled to my hand. A small smile itching at his lips. "I'm perfect." He mumbled, the feeling of his hand upon mine, becoming apparent. Both of our gazes locked instantly, my lips hovering open slightly as we fell into the strange silence. His fingers ran across the back of my hand lightly, almost soothingly. It was like.. we were studying each other. Trying to figure out what this really is... I felt his warm breath wave across my lips slightly, as he took a breath. The scent, intoxicating. This is the moment in most situations, where i'd awkwardly move my hand away, and cough, slowly shuffling away with embarassment. But.. this felt ok. It felt like.. it was meant to be like this. I leant forward slowly, letting his scent engulf my senses. I felt like i was getting pulled, like... i physically couldn't tug myself away.
'Click'.
"Gotcha." I heard a voice yell from the doorway, having disapeared rapidly by the time we'd snapped our heads in that direction.. Beveridge. I suddenly snapped out of it, and bit my lip, pulling my hand away, quietly. "Uh, i best go see what Laurence is up to.." I said, barely audible, as i tried endlessly to stop the sadness from leaking through my voice. His gaze slowly travelled up from the bed as i stood up hesitantly, a smile flashing up to me quickly. "No problem." He replied, twisting around, slowly grabbing his coffee, as his head tilted upwards to the window.. I just wanted to lock out the fact that Beveridge had to disturb us, i... i wanted to engulf Kier in my arms from behind.. I wanted to bury my face into his smooth neck.. I just wanted... him.
I wanted Kier to be mine. Damn, Woolicifer.
