“You really are the biggest klutz I know,” Harry says, chuckling softly. His voice jolts me from my memories and I resurface from the past, remembering where I am.
I look over at Harry, whose eyes are half closed. He takes his right hand from underneath my left hand and puts his on top. His finger begins to trace the contours of my hand, finally resting at the scar on my ring finger. I stare at my scar, now just a faint line. The shape is so familiar—a slight curve, like the left half of a heart.
Harry slowly opens his eyes fully and his gaze meets mine. Those green eyes usually so full of life seem dim now, especially in the low light. But to me, they’re just as beautiful as I had seen them on that first day.
“So what happened next?” Harry murmurs with a knowing smile.
I lean down and kiss him under his ear, before whispering softly.
“They fell in love.”
