10. Time For The Jamboree

This morning started off with a lot of rebukes from Mrs.Laurent who tried so hard to wake us up from our deep sleep as we were getting late for school. I could see how frustrated she was with an early morning view of scattered popcorn and Coke bottles and the TV still switched on. We lay like corpses until she began thumping a huge vessel into our tympanum. After a series of rush-hush and confusion, we finally made it to school.

All my hopes of starting a pleasant day shattered once Jordy got his hands around my waist casually and Leo pushed him off. "Meet you at the party tonight Aria." he said beating the dust of his pants after that fall. I couldn't take this anymore and burst out asking Leo what exactly is the matter between them. But by then he just excused and vanished leaving me and my unanswered questions behind.

By 7, his red car began honking and then the whole journey was passed on in utter silence. As I was about to get down, I discovered that he had no intention to join the party. But after a lot of compulsion, he did get ready. We were mesmerized on seeing the grand lighting and the amount of people there. Jordy pants seemed really good at socializing. Well regarding the descriptions of his house, he lived in a mansion, probably the biggest in the whole city, with almost 7 bedrooms and a lot of maids. His house was shared by his step father who no longer keeps contact with the Laurent family.

Sadly this whole party thing didn't seem to provoke interest in me with the gloomy faces of Leo and his cousins. So I took to spending the whole evening with Shannon who constantly kept flirting with Jordy.

And then the DJ man dropped a Yellow Claw song and everyone began dancing. Since dance wasn't my thing, I stayed back with Leo embarrassed. At this very moment, I thought of troubling Leo *evillaughter* and so I asked him to dance with me as I knew that he would hesitate to do so with that leg. But surprisingly he accepted the offer and danced with me so crazily that he finally lost balance and I gripped him so tightly. Thanking me, he rushed to get wine while I stood there winking. And then to my surprise, Jordy got my hands and began gyrating me so competitively that Leo dashed to another room.

And finally it was time for me to encounter my greatest fear of the evening : The Dinner Time. The table looked grand with all that buffet. Well as I began filling my plate with no intention to eat them, Leo and Jordan asked me to try a food that they pointed at. But to my horror, they stuck on to their word even after my denial and I pretended as if I had a mouthful of them while they were busy giving death glares to each other. My next plan was to run away to the kitchen so that I could dump all that I had taken (Yeah I gotta be unjust to food at times). Unfortunately nothing really went my way as I stood there wide eyed, with Jordan watching the whole weird act.
