"The kid wasn't wrong, you are crazy," she said, pulling out another cigarette as I knocked the pack onto the floor.

"I'm dead serious, Gina. You either listen to me and what I have to say, or this place will be turned to smithereens before your very own two eyes," I threatened. "Test me," I dared.

"Oh, I will," she smirked, standing up.

She lunged towards Doug, a blade in her hand, at a speed that I knew he couldn't counter. In a split moment, I felt my keys burn over my skin as I moved to stand in front of Doug, catching the open blade in my hands. Ignoring the pain of the open wound on my hand, I pulled the blade out of her hands, holding it in my own. Blood stained the ground beneath me as the slash on my hand got wider.

Grinning, she reached a hand out to my chest, holding the now exposed keys that swung in my chain.

"These are the magnificence I needed to see," running her hand over the silver metal, she let the keys go as they fell back onto my chest. "And this must be the great son I always hear about," she jerked her chin towards Doug. "You're the one who will keep the key's legacy on after her?"

Doug didn't speak, silently glaring at her as I rested my unhurt hand over his shoulder.

"He will be joining your guild and serve to you before he does me. Though you will grant him the ability to stay with me whenever he is not needed," I stood tall, Doug trembling under my hold.

"Hmm, sure," Paulklee agreed, walking to her desk to retrieve some papers.

"W-wait, what? Just like that?" Ginger asked, stepping forward.

"Why not?" Paulklee raised an eyebrow at her.

"O-of course," she nodded her head, stepping back.

"Boy, give me your tags," Paulklee gestured to the tags around Doug's neck as he clutched them.

Turning to face him, I held my hand over his, clutching onto his tags. Reaching to the back of his neck to open the chain, I kissed his cheek as his hand loosened over the tags. Pulling them into my hand, I walked over to Paulklee, placing them in her hands.

"I'll add on my colony and adjust them for him. Stay the night here and make yourself at home, kid," she spoke to Doug before walking out with Ginger following her out.

"Well, Doug. How do you like your new family?" I asked him with a grin.

"Not too fond of them," he clenched his fists tightly by his sides.

"Now, now. I know you aren't, but you'll get used to them. Don't worry about me so much, it'll end up getting you killed. My hand is perfectly fine and you know I've dealt with worse. Gina meant no harm, stuff like this always happens between us and there's no harsh feelings," I smiled as sighed at me.

"You're crazy."

"Don't talk to me like that!" I whined, pulling on his ear as he started laughing.

"I didn't mean it, I swear, let go!" Trying to push me away, I let his ear go and held him close.

"Come on, let's get some rest for the night," I pulled him over to one of the rooms, seating him down on the bed.

"Sleep we-"

"E-excuse me," Ginger spoke through the door, standing with a bag in her hands.

"That must be my bag I left here last time. Thank Gina for me for holding onto it," I grinned, grabbing the bag from her. "And thanks to you too, Piper."

"I-uh-okay," she glanced around and left.

"Wonder what's up with her?" I shrugged my shoulders as I brought the bag and opened it over the bed.

"Mom, what the heck?" Doug looked into the bag and stared at me. "These are all my clothes."

"Oh, I suppose they all are," I scratched the back of my head. "Well, here are some more comfortable clothes for you to sleep in!" I grinned, dumping the bag over the bed.

"You're such a pain to deal with," he muttered, grabbing his clothes and going to the bathroom to change.

Sliding off my stilettos, I let them drop onto the floor as I changed into the other clothes.

Holding the clothes I had just taken off, I put them into the bag as Doug walked out behind me with his clothes. Turning around, I gestured for him to throw his clothes so I could put them in the bag as well. I caught his shirt, his hoodie, and the shorts he was wearing from today and pulled them over my arm. Once I had shoved the clothes in the bag, I set it down to the side as Doug took off his shoes and socks.

Laying next to Doug, he latched himself onto my side as he started to drift off to sleep. Smiling, I rested my hand over him, keeping him close as I let a few minutes pass. Taking a breath, I checked Doug's pulse to make sure he was sleeping and slowly got up from the bed, unwrapping myself from him.

Grabbing the jacket he was wearing today, I pulled it over my shoulders. Stepping out of the room, I went to find Paulklee or see if I could find Ginger.

"D-do you need something?" Ginger stood up from the seat she was sitting in as I approached.

"Doug's tags, are they ready?"

"Y-yes. I can get them if yo-"

"That's fine, I'll get them," I waved a hand off to her.

"I know this isn't in my place to ask, but are you leaving because they called to see you again?" Ginger's gaze shifted to the ground as I stared at her.

"You're right," I snapped. "It isn't in your place to ask."

"I-I'm s-"

"Don't bother," I cut her off. "If you really are as hard working at your job as Gina says, then look after Doug. That's all I need," I spoke, turning away to retrieve his tags.

Walking into the room, I searched for his rank and found them, hanging as they were completely new. The Paulklee Colony was engraved over the tag, making me smile.

"This is for the best, Doug," I spoke lightly, holding the tags in my hand as I left the room, going back up the stairs to where Doug was sleeping.

Opening the door, I walked over to him as I moved some of his dreadlocks away from his neck. Fastening the chain around his neck, I let the tags lay over his chest. Taking a seat next to him on the bed, I gazed at all of his features, pulling the comforter over him as he tossed around. My nose started to burn as I stared at him and all the familiar memories.

Taking a deep breath, I leaned over to kiss his cheek and then his tags, letting them softly rest over him.

"I love you, son."

I came across the anime while I was on YouTube and there was an AMV for it with the song We Are Bulletproof by BTS and so I watched the AMV and when I saw my man Nicolas Brown I was like CLICK CLACK BOTTA BEE WEE OOO HE IS FINE! At first, I legit called him the 'Kuroo guy'. IF ANY OF YOU KNOW OF HAIKYUU!! THEN YOU KNOW THE CHARACTER KUROO TETSUROU FROM THERE AND THEY LOOK SO DARN ALIKE I WAS LIKE MACKERELS THEY ATTACKING ME WITH THEIR FINENESS. I really wanted to watch the anime, because he was just so good looking I couldn't take it. So I said screw sleep and screw work I will watch this. And I did, and DANNG THE ENDING?! I really do love this anime and it really has a place in my heart so does Nicolas lol so I came to wattpad to search, only to find how little aware it is here! I mean, I know the people that do have GANGSTA. fanfics out and you got so much of my respect so I THANK YOU. And apparently the anime isn't that well known which made me a bit sad because I do really love it and all the charac-NIC-ters. Other than the reason of Nicolas Brown, I totally recommend watching BUT ONLY PEOPLE I WARN YOU. ONLY IF YOU HAVE A STRONG HEART THAT IS ABLE TO DEAL WITH OPEN ENDINGS BECAUSE THE ENDING OF THIS ANIME IS SO OPEN AND NOTHING ABOUT ANY STORY IN THE ANIME HAS A CLOSED ENDING OR A FOR SURE ANSWER. Also, when I searched for like maybe a second season, I found the information that the company that made the anime went bankrupt, so there will be no second season and the manga has been stopped for a while as well :(
