Aphmau's P.O.V

I was beginning to doubt this little ray of hope I've found - a ray known as friends. It's been a week since I had last heard from any of them, the last since I have had any form of contact from them. I had come to the conclusion that they had just moved on - like everyone else I've ever met has done.

"Ooh. It's just me, myself and I..." My earphones screamed.

With my glance towards the floor, I slung my lilac-purple duffle bag over my shoulder. I moved my hair back in front on my eyes and I began to walk through the silent corridors. Lunch wasn't quite over yet, so I had some time to get to homeroom without going noticed.

Anyways, it's not like I'm noticed for the right reasons.

While my earphones continued to scream music, I noticed someone at the front door of the school.

My Dad...

So many thoughts were rushing through my head. "I thought he was dead?!" "This can't be real!" "H-he can't be...!"

I was terrified and breaking down. Father had always abused me as a small child, yet my mother and my friends never knew. Depression and anxiety had always been a huge part in my life, and being abused was one of the causes of my depression. It didn't help that during this time mother had fallen sick - that's part of the reason he did what he did. I still have all of the scars he left; both physical and mental.

"Hello?" I heard a voice - yet the only person even remotely near was my father, who was stood outside of the door, staring at me with his cold, dead eyes.

"Hello?" The voice said again. It was nearer to me this time but I couldn't work out where it was coming from.

I gripped onto the ends of my hair in frustration as I tore out my earphones, tossing them onto the ground. I couldn't think straight; I could hear voices, I saw people that weren't actually there, I felt like I was being watched, even after he had gone.

"Aphmau, sweetie?" I heard a soft, warm voice coo.

"Yes, Mama?" The voice of a five-year-old giggled.

"I'll be better soon, I promise," The first voice said, her smile was heard through her voice. "My little flower."

"Ok, Mama!" The child's voice giggled again.

I had gone insane, I could swear! I was hearing things and seeing things!

A glistening tear rolled down my already red cheek. I let out an ear pitching scream, the pain was unbearable! I was sure what was happening, but whatever it what I didn't like it. Upon my scream, I heard classroom doors open and people come in from outside. The shuffling of feet was annoying me yet I couldn't find the strength to move. I began to sob and cry, so much that my eyes began to burn.

I caught a glimpse of chestnut-brown hair and black leather trainers; Zvhal. I looked up, tears were still streaming down my bright red cheeks.
