Chapter 4

for Caeli, the assembly took forever! She was so glad when they were able to get out of those seats and roam around. She hated sitting down for long periods of time, cause it always made her butt hurt. She and Grace were finally back at the cabin.

 Grace wanted to put on a pair of tights because she was hot in her skinny jeans. "so" caeli started. She looked at Grace waiting for her to respond. To Caeli, Grace seemed like she was still a little spaced out.

"so what?" grace asked her finally. "so...i saw the connection you and that guy kevin had" Caeli answered. Grace smiled instantly and blushed. "i have no idea what your talking about" she said as she searched for her bag. Caeli chuckled "c'mon i thought we agreed no guys. That this summer we were just guna have fun."

"the guy just helpd me up and iced my hand. He didnt ask me to marry him. really....Theres no big deal about him" grace defensively replied. '

im so lying right now.'

she thought to herself. caeli sat down on her bed. "yea, your rite. I overreacted. Sorry. Its just. .

I dnt want you to end up with summer love, And im left by myself as always while u take a long romantic walks around the camp and im confined to this cabin because i epically fail at life"

Grace laughed hard. "CAELI! how could you say something like that! Your not a loser. And i would never go on a romantic walk knowing you were left by yourselef with nothing to do. What kind of person do you think i am?" she asked. Caeli looked away. " it could happen" she muttered to herself.

 grace ignored her comment. They both sat on their beds and started unpacking clothing and putting them away. "look, its the summer. And were at camp. Lets just forget about guys, and. . Just go with it Please? I know you just went through that crap with shane. But in order to get over it you gotta move on" caeli couldnt believe what was coming out of graces mouth. How could she forget about something that happend only yesterday? She didnt want to argue that with her, so she changed the subject.

"when do we go to lunch?" she asked grace as they were almost to their cabin. "oh uh. . 1 o'clock.

Why?" caeli stood inside of the door frame and stared outside. "i just wanted to go on a walk you know. Get some fresh air. Clear my head" grace searched for her tights. "ok, let me change and ill walk with you-" "i was kinda wanting to walk alone. If you dont mind" she added before grace could finish. She looked up at Caeli, and stopped searching through her dufflebag. 

"oh ok. well lets meet up here in an hour so we can go eat lunch. Its 11:50 right now" Caeli nodded and walked out.

FINALLY, she was by herself. She closed her eyes for a second as she walked. Taking in the smell of the outdoors and wind in her hair. She felt a little better. it had been a while since she had enjoyed the outdoors and she wanted to take in all in. opening her eyes, All she could think about was whats happened over the last two days. She lost the the guy she loved. And now she was at some camp where she knew noone but grace. who apparently has found her cassanova but doesnt want to openly admit it. Who also was telling her to forget about what happened with shane.

You cant get over some body that you had feelings for in a day! She kicked a pebble that was on the ground.she saw the lake that was right ahead of her.

The sun was making the water glisten and it was so Beautiful. She walked to the dock and sat down. taking her flats off and sticking her feet in. The water felt so good. It was hot outside.

She leaned her head back and closed her eyes again ...

Aiden leaned against a tree. listening to his ipod. listening to a song that had become his favorite a couple weeks ago 'someday theyll see how beautiful she really is' he sung as he bopped his head. his hair was dark. and he always kept it straight. So it kinda fell in his face. it was a little shorter than shoulder length, but not too long. He had on a purple tee, That clung to his muscular body. His pants were white skinny jeans. And he had on black shoes. he listened to his music a little longer as he looked all around at the people walking by. everyone excited for the first day of camp and getting fimiliar with the landscape. When suddenly something caught his eye.

He froze, There, on the deck to the lake sat the most beautiful girl that hed ever seen. She had her head leaned back with her eyes closed. And her feet in the water. aiden couldnt stop staring.

He took his ipod off and put it in his back pocket. he started walking towards her. something inside him told him he desperatly had to meet her.. And hear her voice, See her eyes.

He just had to...

He walked up beside her and slowly sat down. She opened her eyes instantly. "hey im aiden" he said to her. "umm hi. Caeli" she gave a littlesmile. it felt kind of awkward to her, He came out of nowhere.

'Why is he looking at me like that?' She thought to herself. "youve have a beautiful name." he said. "uh thanks." caeli replied crossing her arms. aiden looked at the water. finally he broke the silence. "so what are you doing out here by yourself. Shouldnt you be trying to get to know people. You cant do that by sittin at the lake . Alone" he smiled. she looked over at him and he stared back at her.

Her eyes were so beautiful. He thought. She turned her head back towards the lake. " well, i went for a walk to clear my head. And saw this beautiful lake. I had to stop and enjoy it. Its mesmerizing." caeli said as she smiled

 "i saw beauty when i looked this direction too" he added. She was still lookin at the lake. caeli took her feet out of the water and stood up. She put her shoes on and started walking away. aiden had a puzzled look on his face as he felt confused  "where you going?" aiden asked her.

"back to my cabin to meet my Friend. So we can go to lunch i promised id be there at 1 o'clock." caeli replied aiden stood up and jogged to catch up with her. He looked at his watch "its only 12:25" he said. "i know. Ill just take the long way back i guess." caeli answered.

" ill walk with u" he said. she shook her head drastically. " thats ok im sure you have better things to do. Like, flirt with the pretty girls" caeli said sarcastically. aiden didnt pay attention to the sarcasm. "ha. Theres only one girl that i thnks pretty around here" he smiled at her.

Caeli laughed. "then why dont you go tell her that. Im sure she'll swoon over it" aiden laughed again "i already did." caeli rolled her eyes 'hes tellin me how he told some girl how pretty she is. wow. Hes full of himself' she thought. aiden thought it would be best to change the subject . " so, are u goin to the camp kickoff dance later on tonite?" he asked. "i dont want to. But unfortunately my friend will drag me to it. So i guess i will be." she answered. aiden smirked to himself.

" well, do u know anyone who would want to go as my date? I know its the first day at camp and everyone will be Meeting up there... But i really want this one girl to go with me" 'now hes asking me to help him get a date to the dance.'

caeli started to get irritated. she's met some arrogant guys in her life but this guy takes the cake. " i dont know anyone. Sorry " aiden hoped she would have said she was available..but she must have already gotten asked by another guy. 

"oh . Ok" he said as he looked at his feet. They walked a little bit longer til they reached her cabin. "heres my cabin" she said walkin up the steps. "see you around?" aiden shot at her. she quickly nodded an ok as she hurried through the door.aiden smiled and walked away.even though he wasnt the one she was going with, he would see her there and convince her to at least give him one dance...
