Chapter 6

Caeli felt like every eye in the dance room was on her.

She and Grace had just walked into the room where the dance was being held. It looked like the whole entire camp was already there, as usual. 'why are we always the last ones to everything?' she thought to herself. the dance had only just started 10 mins ago. but she wasn't use to a lot of people starring at her.

So she started blushing 'they're probably thinking im too fat for my clothes. Or I look disgusting'. She thought trying not to be so nervous They continued to walk until someone called Graces name. "Grace! Over here!"

A girl in the far corner yelled. Grace squinted to see who it was. She finally noticed who she was and waved as she walked towards her.

"Eleia! OMG I haven't seen you in forever" grace squealed at her. they gave reach other a hug. "oh," grace said as she turned towards Caeli "This is my friend Eleia. Eleia this is my best friend Caeli. I met Eleia here at Camp Knott two years ago. But she wasn't at camp last year." she said as she turned to Eleia.

"where were you? I missed you" she asked her.

"I had to go to Europe with my dad. He had a business trip that lasted all summer. So I had to go with him. Sorry I didn't call you. But I lost your number. Lol" she explained to Grace. She laughed "that's ok. I kind of figured that's why I hadn't heard from you. Typical Eleia." they both laughed. Eleia turned to Caeli.

"you must be new out here. I don't remember seeing you the summer that I was out here." she said to her. "oh yea. This is my first time at camp. Grace suggested I come out here. And try it out. Im new to the whole camp thing. Im use to just being alone by myself a lot." she told her

Eleia looked at Caeli "wow your outfit is pretty. I LOVE your fashion sense."

Caeli blushed "thanks" Grace interrupted "see I told you, you looked great."

Caeli blushed I still think I look like a fat whale.

just then the song "Glamorous" by Fergie came on. "hey you guys lets go dance!" Eleia said as she walked to the dance floor. Grace followed. "ill stay here" Caeli told her.

Grace just turned around frowned at her then kept on walking. Caeli looed around for a chair. She noticed one a few feet away from her. so she went to it and sat down.

aiden straightened up his vest. He had on grey skinny pants. With a white long sleeved shirt and the sleeves rolled up. Over that he wore a vest. He had his hair straightened as usual.

"dude, you look fine. Now come on. Were already late!" Kevin yelled to his brother. He had on the same thing joe did except he wore his sleeves down. His shirt was grey and his vest dark silver. His pants were white. "im coming, I just don't think my hair feels just right." aiden replied. Kevin grabbed his arm and drug him from the mirror. They started walking towards the dance room that was right down the hall from the restrooms they were just in. They heard the music booming from outside the hallway "oh yea! Im getting pumped already." Kevin said as he walked into the room.

aiden just walked in silence. Every since this afternoon all he's been thinking about was Caeli. And how beautiful she was. He wondered what she was going to be wearing tonite. 'does she like me too? Did I come on too strong earlier today at the lake? God, I hope not'. he thought to himself.

Kevin noticed how quiet aiden was "dude every since lunch today you've been super quiet. that's not like you. Are you sick" Kevin asked him he shook his head "no, im good. Ive just been thinking of my dance moves im gunna be crushing you with." aiden replied he thought to himself, 'yea im sick alright. Ive caught this little thing they call a love bug'.

as they made their way through the crowd they danced a little and caught up with friends they met last summer and before then. finally they walked into the middle of the dance floor.

suddenly Kevin started moving his body fast and jerking like he was having a seizure."ha, dude what are you doing?!" aiden asked his brother. yelling over the music. "im crumping dude!" kevin yelled as he started dancing harder. aiden rolled his eyes and patted him on the back. "well, im gunna leave you and your crumping for a while. Ima go get some punch." aiden told him.

Kevin nodded and continued to dance. aiden walked off laughing and shaking his head. He walked to the back of the room towards the punch bowl. He picked up a the dipper and started spooning some into his cup. He turned around and took a sip of it. Staring at all the people there. there was alot more campers this year then last.

He kept looking around until he noticed someone out of the corner of his eye. He choked on his punch. Caeli was sitting a couple of feet away from him. She looked AMAZING. aiden wiped the punch from his mouth. 'go talk to her. Quit being a wuss'. He told himself. He finally got up the courage and walked over.

"Hi" he said to her

She looked up and noticed who it was 'oh god, is he here to tell me that he found a date? And that they made out or something already?' she thought to herself.

"Hi" she replied forcing a smile

"you look beautiful tonite." he told her. She looked at him weird. "is that some kind of joke?" she asked him He looked at her. "excuse me?" he asked "I said, are you trying to be funny by telling me that I look beautiful? Because im not laughing." she said flatly.

He shook his head. "no! not at all. Im serious. Your very beautiful. I told you that today. Im serious. You're the most beautiful girl I know" he said to her smiling. His eyes sparkled. Even though it was sort of dark in there Caeli was able to see them. "wait, that's not what you told me earlier. You said some other girl was beautiful. And that you had already told her that." she said to him. aiden looked at her and shook his head.

"no I did not." he replied. He sat there and thought for a moment. 'did she think I was talking about some other girl? OMG she DID!' Caeli just shook her head and stood up to walk away. aiden realized that she was about to leave and grabbed her arm gently and turned her around.

"Caeli wait," he told her. She stopped and turned around. "what? What is it? Are you going to tell me that you found a date to the dance tonite? And that you got a blowjob from her already?" she said to him. 'if you are then i dont want to hear it you arrogant jerk"

aiden stood there flabbergasted for a moment. not know what to say. then he suddenly reacted "no, why would you think that. never mind listen. i dont know what or who you thought I was talking about earlier today at the lake. But, I was talking about you." he said

Caeli stood there and tilted her head she was VERY confused. aiden continued, "when I said that I already told a girl that she was beautiful I meant you. I told you when we were sitting on the dock,. And you were looking at the lake. But I don't think you heard me. And when I asked you if you knew anyone that would come to the dance with me, well I meant you. I wanted you to come. I thought you would catch on to what I was hinting at but I guess you didn't. and im sorry if you misunderstood me." he finished and let go of her arm.

Caeli stood there with her mouth slightly open. trying to piece together what she just heard. was he trying to trick her or was he being sincere? She didn't want to believe what she was hearing. She didn't want to get her hopes up. And then get hurt again. "im NOT beautiful aiden. And the last thing I need is a guy telling me that I am. And then for him to in the end hurt my feelings. and im not here for some summer fling thats gunna end badly. so lets just save the trouble kay?." she told him.

aiden stood there and looked at her. Why was she saying this? Hurt her? that's the last thing he ever wanted to do. "Caeli, what are you talking about? I don't want to hurt you. I adore you. And your BEAUTIFUL in my eyes." "wait here. He told her. She just sat back down. And stared in front of her. "I don't want to get hurt again. I want to trust him but how can I? why is it so hard for me.
