"Be good okay?" I remind Eli and he nods, kissing my cheek. I wave at Janie before walking out the house. Despite what happened earlier, Samantha still wanted me to go with her tonight and I figured I could try and loosen up.

I couldn't really wrap my head around Eli's words. He wants me to tell Niall? I don't think Eli comprehends how unsafe that would be for me or himself or even Niall, our dad is dangerous and the last thing I ever want to do is piss him off. I do that too much already and one of us is going to break soon. Whether I just don't wake up one day or my dad doesn't stop, that's the only way out if we ever told anyone about this.

I think I'm most hurt by the fact that Eli sees me like dad. I am nothing like him. I actually care for Eli and I feed him and watch him and our dad does jack shit. Eli is lucky I cared so much for him, Eli will never understand any of this. And that's the obnoxious part, he won't ever see what I see until he's older and who knows where we'll be till then.

I just knew deep down Eli actually believes that. He actually sees me as our dad. He sees me miserable and knows I lie and all he sees is our dad, I just don't see how I could ever change that. I can't be honest till I get us out of there.

I follow Samantha as she walks through the slightly crowded house, light music playing, just like last time. Except there's way more people.

"I thought it was a bonfire?" I ask her and she nods, turning to me. "It is." She replies and I don't say anything except follow her. I don't understand how she knows her way around this place, it was huge.

We walk our way towards the backyard and then I see it. The large makeshift fire in the middle of the large, well decorated, backyard.

People are standing around it, drinks in hand. I see people sitting on chairs, sitting on the grass, everyone looks so cool.

"Want a drink?" Samantha asks and I nod, my eyes still wandering the ahead of me.

"Vodka or beer?" She asks and I shrug. I hated beer but I couldn't drink too much vodka, I was my own DD.

"Vodka, not too strong." I tell her and she nods, pouring us both a vodka and orange juice. I take a sip and am thankful that it isn't mainly made up of vodka. This was my max for tonight.

"Let's go find the boys." She says and I nod, following behind her. She moves towards the door and I frown slightly. "Were not going to be by the fire?" I ask.

She turns around and nods at me, holding the sliding door open for me to follow her in.

"We are, but I want to see who else is here." She says and I nod, following behind her anyways. Something about the warmth of the large fire and the loud crackle noise just intrigues me. I had never been to a bonfire before.

"I think I see David." Samantha says and grabs my hand, pulling me through the crowd of people. I also wanted to be by the fire because it was less populated then inside, something about knowing how I look while surrounded by all these picture perfect people makes my stomach turn.

"Hey, you!" Samantha shouts, dropping my hand as she hugs David. I notice a familiar face from last time, I believe his name was John. I wave at him and he does the same, after Samantha pulls away from David, I greet him with a quiet 'hi' and an awkward wave.

"Where's Scotty?" I hear John ask David and he shrugs, nodding his head towards the backyard.

"Probably outside with his girlfriend." He shrugs and John nods, taking a drink of his beer.

"So you guys just got here?" David asks eyeing both Samantha and I. I notice David's eye squint slightly after noticing who I was, or maybe he was confused as to why I had bruises on my face. Everyone was probably wondering that one.
