A few weeks flew by after Hiro's encounter with Lois [y/n] Choi. He was absolutely certain that she knew that she was talking to him; she teased him too, for gods sake! With a damn pun!
He hasn't seen her in over a year, after she abruptly moved for a reason that he didn't seem to remember. Or was it that he forgot to ask?
So there he sat, distractedly, at Lucky Cat Café with his friends on a busy and loud Sunday afternoon.
Fred had chopsticks up his nostrils, at which Honey Lemon softly chuckled at, and Wasabi nearly having a heart attack about how unsanitary that was. Gogo, however, was constantly checking her watch.
And Hiro, of course, was still baffled of how he met that girl he was once so familiar with.
"Hiro," Honey Lemon started, "are you okay?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine," Hiro said quickly after he snapped out of his daze. "Just thinking."
"About what?" Fred pressed as he yanked the chopsticks out of his nose.
Wasabi gagged.
"Uh, Baymax's new suit upgrades?" Hiro's voice went higher as his sentence ended.
"What's wrong, Hiro?" Wasabi asked. "You can't fool us, we've known you for too long." The group nodded.
"Well," Hiro said. "After our fight with The Optic, I ran into someone I used to know."
"Ohhhhh, who was it?" Honey Lemon eagerly asked. "Do we know them?"
"Um," Hiro nervously peeped out. He wasn't sure if he should tell them or not since no one really knew what had happened between them.
And besides, everyone was leaning toward him with anticipation, which made Hiro even more uncomfortable.
"Do you guys remember [y/n]?"
"Oh. Of course we do." Wasabi said as everyone leaned back into their chairs. "She's Gogo's sister. She's 19 now?" He looked at Gogo for approval, and she nodded. "We had dinner with her last week since we haven't seen her in over a year."
"YOU DID WHAT?" Hiro nearly spit out his coffee.
"We had dinner with my sister." Gogo said slowly. "Is there anything wrong with that?"
"Oh no, of course not," Hiro choked out. "I was just surprised that you didn't invite me, haha."
"We did, Hiro," the tall blonde girl pointed out. "We asked you if you were available for dinner, and you said no. Aunt Cass even came."
Hiro let her words sink in. His friends and his aunt had already had a proper meal with someone who dropped off the grid, and he barely had a conversation with her? And since when was Gogo's last name Choi?
'Ethel Choi,' a tiny voice whispered in his head. '[y/n] told you that she had a sister that you knew, remember?'
"I'm not surprised that you saw my sister at the fight with The Optic," Gogo said. "She works part-time at the hospital, which is why she couldn't hangout with us. She's been back for almost 2 months now."
"And you knew this?" The Asian boy asked.
"Of course I did, she's my sister. Why would she tell you, it's not like you're dating her."
Hiro mutely nodded before sipping his coffee again.
"I'm actually supposed to be meeting her here," Gogo started again, checking the time. "She should be here any--"
Suddenly, the bell to the café door rang, and [y/n] Choi stepped in. Gogo rose to greet her.
"Right on time, as per usual," Gogo greeted, chomping on her gum.
