Having done it five years already, Danny woke at 5:30 in the morning to find himself snuggling with Minx, so he quickly exited that situation.

He changed into his uniform, excluding his 3DM gear, and headed straight to the mess hall to make himself some black coffee. (Because Hannah forget to order sugar again.) As he sat alone, he assessed the previous night.

"Phil had been transferred two years after finishing training, but Matt, Ryan, Felix, Ken, and the other two guys in the other barracks had been sent here straight from from training. At the same time, Anna, Sierra, and Jacob were sent away from this branch.

"They're getting better at sorting us out." Danny thought. "But I can't be the only one who's been wondering why...right? There are over forty soldiers here, so it can't just be me..."

Just then, Barrack One's, J-Fred, entered the mess hall while making a popping noise with his mouth. He stopped when he saw Danny. "Hey dude, whacha' doin'?"

"What's it look like?" Danny asked. J-Fred, his brother Matthias, and their best friend (oh, and brother-in-law) Bryan had been here since the new branch had started, Danny remembered. Maybe they knew something.

"It looks to me like...you're thinking about how weird it is that these new people keep popping up, and how this branch keeps growing. Faster each year too." J-Fred determined as he stole some bread from Hannah's "secret" stash.

"I always knew you were secretly a mind reader." Danny muttered with a small smile.

J-Fred sat across from Danny. "Look man, just let it be for now. As curious as I am to know what the plan for this branch is, I think it's best to just wait and see. For now, just be glad we get to enjoy ourselves in a place where everybody is the same, and unique at the same time."

"I hate it when you're mature than me to a point where it makes me look childish. Me!" Danny laughed.

"Joey? Mature? That's just embarrassing." Matthias said rolling his eyes as he and the rest of his team came in. (They actually had a name for their Barrack- "Team Edge"... Weirdos.)

"I dunno, you guys can be pre-tty immature too." Amanda mumbled with a small laugh.

"Yeah, Gunner!" Bryan accused.

"Why you gotta be so mean to me man?" Gunner whined with a smirk.

"Example A!" Mike presented.

Team Edge got their breakfast and all sat on J-Fred's side of the table, knowing full-well that the rest of Danny's team [which, for your information, doesn't have a name or else I woulda' used it] would sit on the other side.

"Hey. Hey Bryan? Hey. Remember that time you went to that one street vendor, called the Habit-" Gunner began.

"It was one time!" Bryan blurted out.

"Example B." Kevin said.

"Well hello everyone!" An all too familiar voice announced..

"Morning Tyler!" Everyone echoed as Tyler and his only other team members, Caspar, Connor, and now Troye, entered.

"This is Troye!" Connor proclaimed, showing off the new blue-eyed boy who blushed.

"Hi, I'm Troye Sivan." He said shyly with a small wave.

"Nice to meet you, Troye." Danny said, shaking the recruit's hand. "I'm Daniel Kyre, the guy in charge of keeping everybody here on their toes."

"We never agreed to that." Caspar stated in his "South-African" accent, as he said it was called. (Though nobody knew what Africa was or what is was south of.)

That's when Barrack 5 chose to burst in. Alfie was actually awake, with his arm around (his obvious girlfriend) Zoe, along with her brother Joe, and the identical twins-Jack and Finn. They and Tyler's team all got breakfast and sat down at a table together.

Awhile after them came Barracks Two and Three. Ryan's team was second largest with 7 soldiers, while Lilly's was tied for smallest with Tyler's with only four soldiers.

Ryan, D-Trix, Sean, Will, and Derek were all a bit excited, which happened often, so all five were doing flips and random little tricks before actually sitting down at their own table to eat.

After about ten minutes of waiting, Danny looked and saw it was 6:30, and breakfast ends at seven. He was getting anxious.

"I'm gonna go get those goobers, and if I find them asleep-" Danny started to say.

"Oi! Mamasita!" J-Fred exclaimed in a high voice.

"Exactly..." Danny sighed as he left the table.

"Guys!" Danny shouted.

"SHHH!" They replied.

Too much was going on to comprehend it all at first. Everyone had their uniforms on. Mark sat with Minx in her bunk. The 6 foot 2 Phil stood on one side of her bunk while Matt, who sat on Ryan's shoulders, was/were on the other side. Felix stood right next to the door, acting like a wuss. Ken and Cry were...what the heck...sitting in the rafters with a jar each and lids at the ready.

"There's a big freaking spider that looks like it could kill us, and they've been trying to catch it for like a half-an-hour..." Felix whispered.

"Lemme guess, you don't like spiders?" Danny assumed.

"Shut up." Was Felix's only answer.

"Almost there, buddy..." Ken encouraged the spider in a gentle voice. "Com'mon now-there we go! Got 'em!" He announced. "Hehehe."

"Oh good god..." Felix sighed.

"What should we name it?" Matt asked, hopping of Ryan's shoulders.

"Do we have to name it?" Felix inquired unsurely.

"Yes! We're naming it!" Minx insisted.

"I say we name our new pet Steve." Mark suggested.

"Again with a pet named Steve..." Ryan muttered.

"I like Susan2." Phil commented.

"Why 2? Why not just Susan?" Ken laughed.

"Because we had pet mouse back home named Susan, then Dan dropped her and she died." Phil explained bluntly.

"I like Dan already." Mark mused.

"Let's name it Kid." Cry spoke up, which got everyone's attention.

"I like that." Ken said.

"Me too." Minx agreed. "Kid the spider it is then!"

"Congratulations! You caught and named a spider!" Danny said with a smile, then went serious. "Now go to the mess hall or starve."
