As I watched the nuclear explosion from the top of the roof,
I felt lots of guilt on all the lives that have been taken from my decision. After seeing what I've done, I left the roof and left to walk through the city. I went around the city thinking of what happens next, but I still have no clue on what to do now. My decision began to haunt me, I tried to keep mind off it yet it still bothers me. As the memories continued to bother me, I pointed against my head and placed my finger on the trigger. I was getting ready to pull the trigger until I realized it's time for me to let go of it and that it's not worth ending it all here. So I went to an airbase so I can head off to a new place and possibly start a new life. I entered the place to look for a helicopter or any aircraft that is in good condition, I manage to find an old rescue chopper but it's not like I had any other choice since the other aircrafts here were either damage or destroyed. So I went off. After a long while, I found a military base. I requested for clearance to land, the request was permitted and so I landed the helicopter. I went down and went to speak with the military leaders if I could join their army, they agreed. They said to have some rest because they said the next few weeks the mission will be hard. So I used these few days to rest and the next to train for the upcoming mission but I also went to the nearby city. It seemed more peaceful than what I expected, so I decided to take a rest from all of this since I am sure that what happened on the other islands were enough to make ready for the next mission. A few weeks passed and I was called in for a briefing of the mission. I entered the briefing room, the commander began to explain the different areas that will we be dropped off and after explain strategy plans, he finally explained who are fighting against. The commander said "This threat is something we is something we have never faced before, it's going to bring the world into chaos." The commander shows a photo of the infected, it seems that I did all of that for nothing. As we were getting ready to enter our transports, I said to myself "here we go again."
The end.
