Matt heard another set of footsteps run up to him. Emma. He wore a small bit of blush and a smile as she approached. “Hey Ems.” He had thought about her nickname and how it always made him smile. “Hey Matt, I need to tell you something.” He looked in her direction as worry sprawled itself on his face. “Shoot.” “Well, I've thought about it long enough, and, I will go to prom with you.” He smiled as even more of a blush crawled across his cheeks. “Are you feeling alright? You look a little flushed.” Her voice was sarcastic and full of happiness. She smiled and hugged him. “I'm excited for tonight.” Matt wore a smile and even more of a blush. “Yeah, I'm excited too.” He hugged her back as she ran off and Jessy walked up to him. “Hey man, so, I'm guessing she said yes? Your face says it all.” He laughed as he gently elbowed Matt. “Shut up…” Matt laughed with him as the two walked off.
