When I thought everything couldn't get any better the alarms went off.

"Ugh." I muttered as I woke up. It's only five in the morning, what could people possibly be doing with fire at this hour?

"Let's go sunshine!" I heard Mike yell at me as I was the last person still in my bed.

I ran down the hall, down the pole and put my suit on.

"Hurry up Jack!" they all yelled at me.

The truck started going and I hopped on quickly before they left me.

"Thinking about lover boy?" mocked Craig.

"Shut up!" I wasn't in the mood with any of their crude remarks. That and I was beyond tired so I was very crabby.

Getting to the scene we saw a little cottage house on fire. This might be easy to put out, but were there anyone still in it?

"Please help me, my baby girl is still in there." panicked a woman.

"We will get your daughter out fine." said Todd.

"I'm going in." I told them.

"Jack, you can't since it's a small place the fire may be too forcefull." said Robby.

"Don't think I'm not going to try and get that girl out of there." I barked removing my hand from his grasp and ran inside the cottege.

"Hello?!" I yelled. "Anyone here!?"

"Help!" I heard the girl scream.

"I'm coming, don't worry. Where are you?" I asked but I didn't hear a voice say something back. That was not good. She must be out of oxygen. I have to find her, I just have to.

"Hurry up Jack! It won't hold any longer!" I hear Harry yell at me.

I walked towards a hallway and it was flaming beyond flames in there but that didn't stop me. I opened the door and looked around, nope, she was not in there. Turning to the next door I saw a leg. I found her!

"Come on baby girl." I said walking to her. She was definately out.

I took my mask off and put it on her face as I coughed and tried to see through all the flames and smoke. Walking to the door I collapsed on the floor but I was going to bring that girl back to her mother.

Still carrying her, I crawled on the ground to the door.

"Jack you in here?" said Robby as he saw me. I pushed the girl towards him and then I went out.

"Come on Jack, don't die on me now!" was that Mike's voice?

"She needs her inhailer, I bet she just needs to breathe." said Todd.

"Help!" Screamed Harry as a paramedic came to me because I could feel a lot of stuff going on around me.

"Jackie, can you hear me?" was that Sean?

"Sean?" I managed to say.

"So he says your name and doesn't listen to us. That's just great." that was Craig that time.

"I'm here Jackie." he said touching my face with his hands. "Can you open your eyes?" he asked. I tried to, but my right eye from the bruise was worse. I think the fire had that affect on it.

"I can't. The bruise on my eye, I think it's worse." I told him.

"It looks bigger. Gosh, this was all my fault." I heard him mumble.

"Will she make it?" Harry asked.

"Yeah. She'll need to go to the hospital though  to find out why she can't open her eyes. I can go with her." he offered.
