I was waiting at the hospital to see my mom with Jewelia and Nickolas. The doctor called us and we rushed to my mom's room. I slowly opened the door and my mom was laying there staring at the wall. She didn't turn around to see us

She didn't say anything. She just stayed quiet still starring at the wall. I got near her and hugged her gently. I had no idea how long we stayed there but it was time to go. I know we missed school but what matters more is my mom right now. She seemed depressed and didn't say anything to us. Even when we tried to give her food

Doctor: may I speak to you Evelyn

I nodded and head out the room leaving Jewelia and Nickolas

Doctor: I'm really sorry to say this but your mom has congenital heart disease. She has had it since she was born and it has gotten worse each year

Evelyn: is that why she always had breathing problems cause I come with her to the doctor but she never let's me enter with her. I've tried to ask doctors but they would never tell me for whatever reason

Doctor: your mom didn't want you guys to find out. I know it's hard for a person to not tell someone what is going. We tried everything we could during her surgery but we couldn't do anything to save her. She will only have 1 week to live

My vision became blurry with the tears that was forming. My mom, no. Who will, who-

Evelyn: NO! NO! no

I felt the hard cold floor on my knees. My body felt weak. Why! Why my mom! Why not me. Why!

Nickolas: It's ok Eve

Evelyn: no it's not Ok

Jewelia: what's wrong?

I slowly looked up to see Jewelia's blurry worried face. She kneeled down and hugged me

Evelyn: mom, mom will only be here 1 week with us and she'll be in a better place

Looking at Jewelia's face made me cry even more. We both began crying our life's out. Why do you have to leave us mom? Why? I made Jewelia and I get up and went to mom's room. She was sleeping with the moonlight accompanying her

Evelyn: I'll come back to get you tomorrow morning mommy and you'll be with us until then

I kissed her forehead and so did Jewelia. I grabbed Jewelia's hand and went home. Nickolas left us and said if we needed anything he was there. What a great friend, I really appreciate his friendship. Right now me and Jewelia are watching a movie on the couch snuggled together. In mind, I wondered if mom knew what was going on. Was that why she was so quiet? All I want is for her to live her last couple of days happy. Tomorrow I'm going to call the school that we're not going to go to school in a long time for some reasons. I'm sure they'll understand. Once I opened my eyes it was day already. Wait, was I dreaming or thinking. I really don't  know. I got up and began dressing up getting ready for the day today we 3 are going to spend. Nickolas called me and I told him everything I was going to do. He understood and said he'll come and visit later after school. I called the school after and they agreed. Nickolas was going to tell the principal about what is going on with me so they believe me. Jewelia and I went to the store to buy mom some food and something that will make her happy
