Kakashi woke slowly, a warm body sandwiched in his arms. His eyes slid open to peer down at Yamato's peaceful, sleeping face.

Wait, Yamato? Kakashi frowned for a moment, confused. Slowly, the events of last night began to trickle back. Yamato's cutting, the blood, the kiss that rocked his world, will you stay... Kakashi smiled softly.

Yamato suddenly stretched, rolling onto his side and yawning widely before meeting Kakashi's warm gaze. He smiled at him, his cheeks flushed from the heat of sleep and his hair messy.

"Good morning." He murmured. Kakashi smiled wider.

"Good morning." Yamato raised a hand to his face, rubbing his eyes.

"What time is it?" Kakashi stretched to squint at the alarm clock.

"Its eight twenty... oh shit." He sat up, ears straining for signs of life in the apartment.

"What?" Yamato asked, sitting up beside him and touching his back gently.

"Naruto." Kakashi breathed. Had he seen them? Kakashi stared at the bed sheets. It wasn't that he wanted to hide anything from Naruto, but the timing was terrible. Naruto was attached to Iruka in a different way than Kakashi was, and seeing Kakashi moving on so suddenly could hurt him. And that was the last thing Kakashi wanted.

"He probably already left for school."

"He'd have to if he wants to be on time." Yamato's hand on his back moved up and down soothingly.

"If he saw us, I'm sure he'll bring it up when he gets home." Yamato murmured. Kakashi sighed and offered up a weak smile.

"You're right."

It would just have to wait.
