Dear reader,
Well, here it is, draft two. I'm super excited to share all my changes on a story that means a lot to me. This story is, after all, my first one.
Coming back to it months after finishing the first draft was certainly . . . interesting. It was wonderful to come back to these characters and this world that I created in my teens and dive back into a story that occupied my headspace while I should have been focussing on school and other 'important' things. It was was also majorly cringe-inducing because good lord teen me really needed to work on her writing skills. But, looking at draft one and comparing it to draft two, I can measure my growth, and see how far I've come. That means more to me than you can imagine.
So, some thanks are in order. Thank you to ticoteco246 for being the best friend/writing companion I've ever had. As I said in draft one, this book wouldn't have even been written without her encouragement; she's been by my side since day one and god I'm so lucky to have her in my life. Also, she made the new cover, which looks amazing. So, thanks for that too!
Also, thank you for reading this book.
Back when I first posted this story on wattpad years ago (ugh . . . it's been years) I was terrified. It was my first time writing a story and sharing it, and I felt super vulnerable. But, I got a lot of support and it blew my mind. It gave me the self confidence to practise at writing and keep working and improving. Now we're here, and hopefully you stay along for the ride.
So, whether you're starting with draft two or you're coming from draft one, thanks again, and I hope you enjoy this story.
