Eliana's POV

I awoke quite early that morning. I smiled to myself as I looked outside at the beautiful summer day only to frown to myself at the memories of what I had seen yesterday. I had asked for a tray of cookies and two glasses of milk, in hopes that I could go over to Prince Harry's chambers and offer him some, and hopefully get to know him a bit more civilly. That goal was prevented, however, when I saw the same brown haired girl from earlier step out of his room and share a kiss with him. I don't know what it was, but my heart sunk a little bit at the sight. He was to be my husband, after all, and being the sucker for romance that I am, I had at least hoped he would have some sort of heart within him. I guess not.

I still remember the way he gazed at me, as my eyes began to well up with tears. His expression remained stoic; no feelings whatsoever. When he disregarded my hurt and blatantly asked for the cookies, I wanted to kill both him and myself. Him because of the way he disregarded my feelings and me for crying about it. Today, however, I promised myself that I would not let him see how his actions had affected me. I would simply play it off like I am completely okay and unbothered.

I made my way down to the dining room to happily discover my ladies were waiting for me, talking amongst themselves like school girls. Upon hearing my arrival, they turned towards the door and smiled brightly at me.

"Princess," Cimone beamed, "you're awake! We were just about to put in a meal request for you to the chef but we weren't sure what you liked

"Princess," Cimone beamed, "you're awake! We were just about to put in a meal request for you to the chef but we weren't sure what you liked."

I smiled at her as I approached them. I could see Clary eye me with curiosity and I knew for certain that she could tell something had happened yesterday.

"It's okay; whatever you request I will have happily," I returned. Cimone smiled brightly and nodded before turning to head off into the kitchens. Before she opened the door I called back for her.

"Put in a meal request for all of you as well," I smiled, "you're all my friends, and no friends of mine shall be treated any different than the way I am treated right now."

They all grinned sheepishly at each other before smiling at me. Cimone smiled and nodded before turning and heading into the kitchens. I sighed and turned my head back to the girls, to find them all staring at me expectantly.

"What?" I asked.

"How did your meeting with the Prince go?" Stella asked me, causing the other three girls to lean in. I shifted on my feet, looking down quickly before bringing by gaze back up.

"Well," I started, trying to formulate a sentence, "I know for a fact that he enjoyed the cookies."

Clary frowned, "nothing else?"

I shrugged.

"We never got acquainted last night for there to be anything else," I mumbled, "he had lain with one of the girls. The brown haired one we saw in the kitchens, the very one that came out of the broom closet with him. Remember?"
