Tyler liked to believe he was poetic, and through his poetic eyes he saw
himself as a set of three major contradictions.

He was very, very, undeniably proud of himself. He could rattle on for hours about how he, a college dropout, invented an award winning homework helping app that got his family out of debt and his beautiful apartment overlooking the (at times) beautiful city of L.A., which just so happened to be right by the ocean.

He however, is also very, very, undeniably shy. He could spend weeks without talking to a single person in real life, and not once in his quarter century life has he started a conversation. He knows it too, he knows how his face gets all red and how he covers himself up. He knows. He can't ever brag to anybody, because he's too shy to even start talking about himself, save online.

Then again, Tyler is proud of his appearance. He likes his fluffy hair and how his eyes look in proportion to the rest of his face. He likes his freckles and his fashion sense and how his hands are pudgy like his cheeks and he likes how his favorite pajamas lay on his skin, which is a creamy white since he spends all of his time alone in his room.

But, Tyler is quite small. At his peak as a high school senior, he was only five foot one, and his last doctors visit said he was only five feet tall. How Tyler managed to lose an inch is beyond his belief, or knowledge, but it somehow happened and the twenty five year old has just sucked it up and accepted his fate as someone who will forever look like a kid.

And lastly, Tyler thinks he has one hell of a good personality. He's sarcastic, silly, adorable, and speaks with cute little phrases. He knows that he is a dork, from Tyler's expansive collection of manga in his closet and band posters on his walls. He likes how he can play songs on piano and ukulele and how he chooses the best sings because he has the best music taste.

But then again, Tyler has almost no friends, and the only house guest he's ever had is his neighbors cat. Nobody would have guessed that the young looking neighbor had read One Piece from start to current, and had completely watched the series several times. Nobody would have guessed his obsession with music, especially emo music, and how he taught a German class online.

It was just a but quirky, but it made Tyler an interesting person. He was feeling so good, he almost went to get instant ramen at the store. That is, until he heard the knock on his door.
