Lauras mum was ecstatic for the move, but she was not. Having to move half way across the world was not her idea of fun, but she had to as she was too young to stay in Australia by herself.
You see her mums family had moved to Australia three generations ago, but apparently Australia was not for them. When people think of Australia they ususaly think of vast expances of desert, but that was not the case only a small ammount of people lived in the desert
Another thing that people think is that we keep kangaroos as pets, we don't. When you do see one its a rare sight,
As Laura was packing she looked at everyrhing that she had, all the memories of her house all of her clothes now squished into a suitcase, her bear that she had since she was a small child now lay abandond under her bed. She picked it up ans hugged it, she had never been particularly close with any of her friends but she was still going to miss them. She glanced at her now bare room for the last time, closed the door grabed her stuff and didn't look back.
