A month later in May...

Kim's birthday was coming tomorrow. Jaejoong hadn't mentioned anything about coming over to celebrate it with her. It was after all Kim's 21st birthday. Kim would be officially an adult after this. Anyway Kim was too busy preparing the party at her house to think too much about him coming. If he didn't come, she will just have to spend it with her friends. Though Kim would have preferred that he graced the event with his presence, she knows that he was busy touring in Japan now.

It was night already and in an hour's time Kim would be 21. Excited as Kim was, she couldn't sleep a wink. Kim was waiting for Jaejoong's call. She missed his voice. Kim fondled with the ring Jaejoong had given her earlier this year. Her entire mind was filled with thoughts of Jaejoong. Soon it was nearing 12 midnight. But he still hasn't called yet. Why is that?

The clock struck 12 midnight. Jaejoong still hasn't called. Kim was getting a bit impatient. Then the doorbell rang. Kim walked out of her room to the door. When Kim looked through the eye-hole, there wasn't anyone at the door. Curious, Kim opened the door and popped her head out to take a look. A pair of hands popped out from nowhere and grabbed Kim's head, pulling it down towards his lips. He planted a long kiss on her lips.

Jaejoong: Happy birthday baby!

Kim: Jaejoong! Why are you here?? Aren't you supposed to be in Japan now touring? How come...

Jaejoong placed his finger across Kim's lips to shut her up. Kim stopped, but she couldn't contain her excitement. Kim couldn't believe he came here all the way to celebrate her birthday!

Jaejoong: You see my manager gave us a secret mission. That is, to surprise one of our fans during her birthday, and to perform for the party!

Jaejoong replied cheekily.

Kim knew Jaejoong had made time to rush here. But it's really sweet of him!

Kim: You mean the rest of the guys are here too? What's gonna happen to the tour?

Kim asked worriedly.

Kim: You're not gonna take any risks for me are you. It's BAD for your careers, you know. You can't just not appear like that. It's unprofessional.

Jaejoong started laughing.

Jaejoong: Will you stop being so paranoid? We've finished our tour early to make time for your birthday. We're not stupid you know... The guys won't allow me to disappear without notice, or they are gonna fry my ass .

Jaejoong smoothed the frown on Kim's face. Pulled her head towards him and gave her a peck on her forehead.

Jaejoong: Just enjoy your birthday will you!

Kim had arranged for a night out at Altivo Bar on Mt Faber at night and all her friends were invited. But earlier that day, Kim held an eating spree at her house for them and all her relatives. TVXQ came as Kim's friends as well. Since most of her friends don't know them anyway. They just blended in as one of the friends. Kim could tell that Jaejoong was enjoying the food, but she couldn't really stay with him too much as she was busy entertaining the guests. Neither could Kim exhibit her ring, nor exhibit her relationship with Jaejoong. No one knew, remember. Though Kim often gave Jaejoong short glances across the room, and flashed her mega-watt smile when Kim finally had the chance to go over to talk to them. Kim couldn't wait for night-time to come. There was so much she wanted to say to him.

The show was great, and Kim had the best seat of all. she was right in the first row, in the middle. After listening to their songs, some of Kim's closer friends realized that they were TVXQ, and asked her about her relationship with them. With Jaejoong especially, as they all knew he was her fave. Kim just smiled blissfully as she looked up at Jaejoong performing. They knew something was going on, and they nudged Kim profusely. She just smiled.

The show was finally over and the dance started. The 5 of them jumped down from the stage and walked towards Kim, and grabbed her onto the dance floor. It was dance music going on and Kim danced with U-Know, while the rest looked on by the sidelines. Then it was retro and she danced with Micky. Next was Xiah's fave, rock and she danced with Xiah. Then when hip-hop music was on, she danced with Max. The crowd was cheering as they danced and Kim urged her friends to join us. Then the music died down to a slow, ballady, smoothie, and it was Jaejoong's turn to dance with Kim. Kim smiled at him and they walked slowly towards each other. They interlaced their hands and wrapped themselves in each other. Kim looked up in Jaejoong's eyes, and he placed his forehead on hers. Boy it was intense! Kim wanted so much to kiss Jaejoong then and there. But with the spotlight on them, which wasn't there when she was dancing earlier, and all the people cheering them on, Kim was a bit embarrassed, so she didn't. But Jaejoong wasn't and he did. He kissed her right smack on the lips, and tightened his grip around her body. Kim softened and kissed him back. By this time, the crowd had gone wild. But Kim couldn't hear anything else except what Jaejoong said.

Jaejoong: I love you. Be mine forever.

Then Jaejoong brandished out the ring that he had given Kim during the last visit. He took her hand and slipped it in, in front of everyone. Kim wasn't shocked this time. She couldn't cry at this time. She smiled while looking at his engrossed hazel eyes. He was so serious in putting the ring in. Kim realized that she really loved this man. And she wanna be with him forever. When he finished, he looked up, and their eyes met. Kim moved her hand up to his head, and pulled him close to her face.

Kim: I love you too baby. I do....

And Kim kissed Jaejoong.

Confetti fell around them, and Kim knew that this was planned ahead of time. Now there was no way that their relationship could be a secret. At least not to all the people here, unless they were all blind! Jaejoong took Kim's left hand and placed it between them as they danced.

After the party, they took the cable car all the way to Sentosa. Kim was afraid of heights. Maybe that's why Jaejoong wanted them to take it in the first place. Then he can get a good excuse to let Kim cuddle up close to him on her own accord! This is what Kim's tutor would call "snug appeal"! But nevertheless, Kim was willing. Just if Jaejoong doesn't make any sudden movements to shake the cable car, she'll be alright. And she can't look down. She can ONLY look at HIM. Nothing else. Anything else will make her dizzy and nauseous. Wow, ain't that a great opportunity for him?
