REGRET
He was poison from the start
disguised as the man I've always wanted
I won't deny I knew it the moment I noticed how my blood rushed a little quicker when our eyes met.
I knew it the moment solace meant his embrace
I knew it the moment my body said yes,
because his body couldn't hear a no.
I knew it the moment sunlight wasn't enough to drive away the darkness he created in my heart.
and maybe it was the magnificence of the way I knew he would destroy me
that I chose to die at his hands.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::His hands caress the wounds across her heart
His soul recognizes her broken embrace as home
His pain embraces her limbs for strength
His bones shudder the weight of her laughter
While his tears relieve themselves only for the want to be wiped by her hands;
his mouth echoes her name as
his memories redefine with her essence;
his skin murmurs stories of her touch while his fingers search for her mane;
his love knocks on her door as
his shadow merges into her light;
his words speak of his reflections in her eyes.
I'm not HER and I'm starting to REGRET it.
