Jeanette sat on her bed, wondering when she could go downstairs, the room was extremely boring, cause there was no TV.

Jeanette remembered the look on her mother's face when three men in flashy blazers, strange looking badges and dark sunglasses came in while they were watching a classical movie. Her mother looked both sad and angry immediately she opened the door for them. An unusual expression for a woman who always smiled. Janette was almost instantly sent up to her room while her mother and the men discussed.

Something was going on but she just couldn't place her finger on it. She had tried placing her ears to the door of her room to eavesdrop but she could barely pick a sound and before long she had given up and resigned to dwindling her thumbs on her bed.

"Jeanette! Please come down" Her mother called, her voice sounding almost croaky.

Jeanette jumped and ran downstairs in apprehension, before long she stood before her crying mother, Jeanette gaped at her mother before sending angry glares to the men who stood immaculately still around her. "What did you do to my mother?"

Her mother sniffed as she said in a low soft voice " Jeanette, please sit down."

Jeanette sat on the couch closest to her mother slowly, her eyes never leaving the men's faces.
"Jeanette, there is something, I didn't tell you when you were little, it's about your father."

Janette took in a deep breath knowing that she had to prepare for whatever her mother was going to tell her.
"What?" Janette questioned.
Janette's mother sucked in a breath as well as she reached for her daughter's hand.
"Your father is alive Jane and he wants to see you."

Jeanette couldn't remember the last time she blinked so rapidly, her mother had always preached against lying so why would she become an obvious hypocrite. Janette snatched her hand away from her weeping mother. She knew her mother was being honest but how could she keep a secret like that from her and for so long.

Jeanette looked at her mother as she blinked back tears quickly.
"You lied to me? Why?"

Her mother said as she sniffed again, her beautiful face stained with the salty wetness.
"I had to darling, for your safety, your father will tell you everything."

She had a father, now she wouldn't have to slink back in her chair whenever bring your 'Dad to school day' was announced because of the fake pitying stares around her.

Jeanette cleaned her face and asked rather calmly "Who is my father mama?"
Her mother closed her eyes, as she gave her pained response.
"Your father is Roland, Edwin, Liam the second...King of Origon"

Jeanette's eyes widened so much they looked like they would pop out of her head.
If she hadn't being sitting, she would have fallen down in shock.

How was that possible, that she could be...
"That means I'm a princess?
Jeanette gasped her countenance an awkward mixture of both happiness and sadness.

"Yes Jeanette, you're a King's daughter."
Her mother said  as she smiled through her tears.
