I arrived at the restaurant Chris and I were meeting, I sighed,there was too much drama going on, if I didn't promise Chris that I was coming, I would not have been here. I entered and saw Chris in a black tuxedo. I smiled at him and sat down in a seat opposite him.
"Hello Jeanette." Chris said smiling charmingly. I smiled back and replied "Hi Chris." I took up the menu and glanced at it,trying to keep my shaky hand busy. Chris took up his menu also,a waiter came over to our table smiled professionally and asked "What will you two have?"
" Um, I'll have a carrot cake and ice cream....sugar filled stuff. " I said after checking the menu and seeing nothing I wanted. Chris smiled and said "I'll have a bottleof champagne, if it's okay."
Okay,did Chris order a whole bottle of champagne?
The waiter took our orders and left,an
awkward silence followed.
"Jeanette, um....so what do you like?"
Weird way to start a conversation.
"What?" I blurted out.
Chris's face turned red.
A blusher huh?
"I'm sorry,I'm new to this romance kinda thing?" He said quite embarrassed. I smile and say just as our orders arrive."It's okay, you're not that bad at dating. "He smiled a little embarrassed.
Chris took a glass cup and poured some of the wine into it.
He took a sip,looked at me and asked
" You want some?"
I shook my head just realizing I had been staring at him.
"So ,how's your brother?"
I ask him knowing he wasn't going to start a conversation.
"Oh,he's good. He's engaged now.."
Chris says awkwardly.
"Really, that's nice."
I exclaim unexcited.
An over the top awkward silence followed.
Maybe,this date was a mistake.
We are obviously not getting along.
Just then my phone gave a beep
Lil sis: Look Jeanette, I know u wanna enjoy ur date,but u need to come home right now. Things are getting out of hand .
Princess Jeanette: I b right there.
Chris tilted his head and asked
"Who was that?"
"Um...it's my lil sis. I'm sorry Chris,something is happening at home and I need to be there right now."
Chris looked unconcerned as he asked again. "What's going on?"
Can I trust him?
Of course I can,he's my friend.
"Well,they found out my dad was poisoned." I said barely above a whisper. Chris's eyes looked like they would pop out of his head.
"What?!" He yelled.
Heads turned to look at us.
"Shhhhhh,you don't have to yell."
I said trying to hide my face from onlookers. "Sorry, it's all so shocking."
He said his eyes clearly angry and not sad. "Um..Chris,I'm gonna go now."
Chris nodded absentmindedly,he shook his head got up,and said weirdly "I gotta go too,this night was awkward huh?" I flushed and nodded my eyes fixed to the floor.
"Well,I guess maybe the next date will be better." Chris said a smirk on his lips.
Is he asking me out again?
"Are you asking me out."
I asked my face brightening up.
"Yes, not on a date though."
Chris responded as he walked out the door. He looked shaken and distressed. Must be the pressure of this awkward first last date,I'm some wort glad our next meeting is not a date. I got into my car and drove towards home.

A/n: Okay guys this is chapter seven,hope you like it. Why do you think Chris was acting weird after Jeanette told him about what happened to her Dad? That's for another day. I wanna start something and I hope you like it.The first person to get it gets a shout out.
