I wake up on my living room couch looking at Connor sprawled out on the floor as if he fell asleep half drunk still holding a custom PS4 controller in his hand. I look at the clock on my TV 11:45 A.m. We hella slept in. Light shines in through the plastic white blinds n the glass door. I rub my eyes and go to my room to check my phone. A text from Alex: Yo u and C better be ready by noon im picking up A and bringing yall 2 the field for some ball. I laugh at his grammar then rush to wake up Connor.

He rushes to the bathroom for a change of clothes. I enter my room to change as well. I come out wearing blue jeans and a blue and black ended jacket with a baseball cap that has the logo from King's Knight. Connor walks out in another pair of black jeans and a red t-shirt that has the Minnesota Twins logo and a baseball cap with the same.

We grab my equipment from my closet and head outside sitting on the back porch waiting for Alex. He pulls up almost Instantly. A black convertible with the roof open. Aria's car and Alex is in the drivers seat.  Who buys their 16 year old daughter an Audi R8? Aria and Alex step out the car. Alex steps out wearing a green bay packers sweater and a pair of blue sports sweatpants With his short hair hid underneath a ski cap. Aria comes from around the car. She looks stunning. Her short brown hair swept to the side, her green eyes piercing. Her outfit simple yet outstanding Her thin black and white jacket matched with her freckles and pale skin. "Aria we destroy clothes playing baseball, you can't destroy what is already destroyed." I say making a remark at her jeans. I mean looking at them they had more holes then actual jean.

She walks up to me and slugs my shoulder. "Be quiet, making remarks before the game even starts." She laughs and heads out to the car. "come on losers lets go." Alex and Connor look briefly at her stopping there conversation to get in the car.

We drive for what seems like a few minutes before arriving at the park.

The park is empty which is weird for a sunny 70 degree day. Me and Connor step onto the ball field putting on our baseball gloves. Aria looks for something in the car. Alex grabs my bat and tosses a ball into the air cracks it into the outfield with a satisfying ding directly to me.  I catch the ball and beam it to Connor. He catches the ball and as swift as butter turns around and flings it back to Alex who catches it in his right hand.  Aria steps out the car bat in hand. She takes the ball from Alex throws it into the air and smacks it into the outfield. Connor runs and catches it with a dive.

We continue to play into the rain sliding into bases in the freezing wind, mud all over our clothes. But it doesn't matter because in that moment we were laughing and having a great time nothing else seemed to exist.
