Somewhere Along the Road

Monochrome Dreams

I woke up with thunder booming in the distance. It smelt like somebody was barbecuing. I roll of my bed onto my messy floor, the floor that is covered with dirty clothes I haven't washed in who knows how long. I pull open my blinds to see if it lightens my room, the skyline is purple with lightning stretching out from clouds as if they were roots. I open my window the smell of a thunderstorm  sneaks into my room.  Aria loves these storms. I don't know why that came to mind it kinda just did.

I walk to my door stepping in the areas of space on my floor I strategically placed to not step on things, but they were kind of hard to see because the room was so damn dark. 

I somehow maneuver my way to the living room were I spot Connor at the window.

I unlock each notch and slide the window up for Connor to crawl in. He comes in quickly. He flops on the carpet once inside, with his soaking wet clothes almost forming a puddle in my living room.

"What's up?" I asked confused. He looks at me with a face of I don't know and stands up. "Aria is gone dude." He replies. I shake my head dumbfounded. "What do you mean she's gone?" "I don't know dude she just is gone."  I shake my head again. "She couldn't have just disappeared this doesn't make sense, Is her car there?" Connor sits down on my couch shaking his hair wildly trying to dry it. "Yeah, I asked her parents were the hell she could have gone but they have no damn idea." 

"Did you talk to Alex?" Connor chuckles. "You already know that damn kid is sleeping." I start to pace around the living room. "Shit that's right." "What's the plan kido you know her more than her own parents, if anyone can guess were she is it's you brainiac." I run to my room to look at my phone. 2:47 A.M. "Call up Alex  we have a little trip to do."

"What are you gonna do?" He ask. "Not sure, everything's all monochrome but we are gonna find her." Connor smiles. "I like your attitude I got her keys, Let's take the R8."
