Kai's POV
I sat down in my chair and put my head in my hands. Out of every cadet here why'd Y/n choose ME to come to her office after combat skills? I can't be alone in the same room as my crush! Lloyd already doesn't like me for liking his sister! Yes, Lloyd's a commander, a rank higher than his little sister. "M-Miss Y/n!" Zane stuttered and saluted the (your height) h/c haired girl in front of him. Her e/c eyes sparkled and she reached forward, slightly retracting her hand when he flinched, but patted his head. Y/n was a war goddess on the battlefield, scares the crap out of everybody. I love how feisty she is though, it motivates me to do my best.
I didn't think she noticed the can of open frosting left by Cole in the middle of the floor because she slipped and almost fell. I jumped up to help her but saw Neuro and Griffin catch her and upright her. My eye twitched when she smiled at them and her voice filled the room, "Thank you both so much." She said. That was supposed to be MY thank you. I took a closer look at her and saw her h/l, h/c hair was perfectly in place as always. She doesn't even use anything to do her hair besides a brush! A brush!
"Morning Cadet Smith. You look well today."
I smiled and looked up/down (depends on your height) at her, "Morning Corporal. You look as beautiful as always." I said, using my usual greeting that made her blush. "T-thanks. Remember not to be late okay? I have a lot on my plate." She sighed, rolling her wrist in her hand. I nodded and gave her a quick salute before she walked away and sat with Lloyd.
Your POV
Oh god, please let this work! I need this to work! "Morning brother." I said, sitting next to him and pulling out our usual candy and crap we call breakfast. "Hey N/n." He said as we dug in. "So this came in from the Rival Organization. Addressed to you from Skylor Chen." He spoke up as I cursed under my breath. I nodded and opened it.

Daddy says you'll be attacking soon, and what better way to steal some recruits? Listen to me. Your nothing without that stupid last name of yours. Your not a real Garmadon. Your a mistake. And don't think I don't know about your little crush on Kai. Hes mine. You know this. I know this. So drop the doe eyes. Your getting nowhere.

My eye twitched and I chuckled. A dark, low chuckle that soon turned cheerful. "Oh my goodness! This again? This trash? Im gonna have to reward that one!" I laughed and waved the paper around, grinning as everybody laughed with me.

I was doing my paper work when a knock sounded at my door, "Name and business please." I demanded. "Cadet Smith. You wanted to see me."
I grinned and put my pen down, "Come in." My crush walked in and I motioned him to sit. He did so and I took a deep breath and looked into his amber eyes.
"Besides status. What's the difference between you and me?" I asked. Kai paused and took out a mirror. "Look in the mirror." He said. I raised a brow but did as told.

I blushed really hard when he got up and walked over to me, "Y/n, the difference between you and I is that you're most likely have the one you desire-" "I don't." I cut him off, watching him tense. "H-huh?"

I rung the blood from my shirt, yes it was that much. I made my way over to the last one standing, grinning as her form became rigid as two soilders, Jay and Cole, held her in place. "Let me go! You'll pay for this! I'll kill you!" She snarled and tried to hit me. I sighed, "You will? With what?" I asked as I pressed my gun to her stomach. "You see this? I worked 17 long years to have the right to even see the case of this gun. What do you think I did the next 5? I made my way up. And to be honest, I've gotten better insults from the new recruits than those letters. You've been wasting paper and, I quote, 'I speak for the trees! The trees say 'screw you' (No more cursing. Expect it when warned.)" I spat and watched her scream as I moved the gun in a flash and shot her in the chest. Jay and Cole dropped her, not really effected by what they've seen.
"Y/n!!!"
Oh my god, the voice of a male angel. "Cadets Brookestone, Walker, dismissed." I said as they walked away. "Y/n you said to wait till after the battle. Wh-what did you mean in your office." Welp. I'm caught. I decided not to speak but slammed my lips against his. "You answered wrong, Kai. There are no differences besides status between us." I said.
"I love you, Corporal Y/n Smith."
"Love you too, Cadet Kai Smith."
