Your POV

I yawned as I woke up and as usual.... It's dark.... "Kai?" I called out for my older cousin as I slipped my glasses on. "Kai?" I repeated, still gaining no answer. Quick footsteps sounded in my ear and I focused, heels. Nya. "Sorry Y/n! Kai went out with Skylar last night and they didn't come back. Here, I'll help you out." She said. I felt around for her and she took my hands. "How have you been holdin up?" She asked. I sighed, "I miss the world." I said sadly. "Aw, Y/n." She squeezed me and a stick was put in my hand. I brushed my teeth and did my usual routine. Then I asked for help putting my gi on. Surprisingly I was still allowed on missions. "Greetings Y/n." I heard Zone say. I smiled a bit, "Morning Zane." I said, slowly walking to my seat with Nya. "Guys, Cole and I are heading out after breakfast." I heard her say. "Same with me. I wanted to show Pixal this new form of moss in the forest." Zane followed. I nodded and I heard two voices and loud footsteps enter the room. "Guys Jade and I are skipping breakfast. There's this new Fritz Donnagan comic-" Lloyd said, "And we have to be there EXTRA early so we can get our copies signed by Cliff Gordon himself!" She squealed. I smiled my best fake smile, "Have fun you two. And if you kiss, hide behind the comic." I joked. "S-shut up!" They yelled in unison and retreating footsteps could be heard.

*time skip*

I felt the dots on the paper.. "The cop...pwt- wait no put. The cop put an arm around the dark-hare- dark-haired woman's shoulders." I said and smiled triumphantly. "Good work Y/n. Your progressing well." Sensei said. I nodded and we moved onto my next part of my training. I let my other senses take over and soon I could smell the tea he had been drinking. A disturbance in the air to my left and put out my hand, catching the foot next to me. This continued and I felt tears well up in my eyes, what if this was an actually battle instead of training? What if I attacked my team? Why do they keep me? Im blind, Im of no use to them. Im a burden. I- "GAH!" I gasped as I hit the wall. I slid down, groaning in pain. "What's on your mind?" I heard Sensei ask. I stood up, effortlessly popping my shoulder back in place. "Why do you still let me on missions? Do you feel sorry for me?" I asked.

Jay's POV

"Do you feel sorry for me?"

I froze and opened the door. Tears were falling from her glasses. I watched in shock as they continued sparring, "No, we do not. We care for you." Sensei said. "Im dead weight aren't I?!" She said and whipped her glasses off, dull e/c eyes full of tears. "I DIDN'T ASK TO BE POISONED!" She screamed and broke down. I rushed in and held her. "No. Get off me!" She cried. I felt my heart break and I hugged her tighter. "Y/n, it's me." I said. Sensei looked at me and I motioned him to leave. When he left I turned her to me. "Y/n. What's wrong?" I asked softly. "I can't do what I used to. I miss the world around me, I miss colors, I miss reading with my eyes, I miss seeing roses, I miss seeing my cousins faces, I....I miss the color of your eyes! I miss seeing what's in front of me! I cant open my eyes, because even if I do everything remains dark!" She cried. I looked at her, my eyes traveling around the room before landing on Y/n'a shaking form. "Y/n, there's more to the world than seeing. Calm down okay? I can show you." I said softly. She nodded and I lead her outside, sitting in the grass with her. "Listen. Can you hear the birds?" I asked. She nodded and I wrapped an arm around her waist, "The birds, their signing a beautiful melody for you. And you can identify them not by the color of their feathers, but the sound of the music they create." I said as I blue jay landed on my finger. I tweeted sweetly and I smiled softly, "I-is that a blue jay?" She asked and I nodded, "Yes. It is." I said and bounced my hand a bit and it flew away.

I looked around and laid down, taking her with me. "Now onto the earth." I said and a small sting went through my chest. I winced and I felt Y/n relax. The feeling went away instantly. "You can feel the grass and most of the time, it makes you pretty itchy doesn't it?" I asked. She nodded with a small giggle. "But, the grass is alive just like you and I. It can feel, it breaks, and it grows." I said. She smiled. "And I'll show you a thing about colors. Colors can represent feelings. You know the biggest roller coaster in Mega Monster Amusement Park?" I asked. She nodded, "That's the one that makes me sick." She said. "No, that's the one that makes you feel green." I said. "And when we used to watch sad movies and read together?" I asked. "That would be.....blue?" She asked. "Correct." I said. We went through all the colors except pink. "And then there's this." I said. "There's what?" She asked. I kissed her sweetly and passionately. She kissed back softly and we pulled away when air became a problem. "That's pink." I said poking her pink cheeks. "...Jay?" She asked. I flinched, "Yes?"

"Thank you for showing me the world. I love you."

"Your welcome. And I love you too."

I kissed her again, smiling.
