Scar felt her hand being grasped and as she looked down she saw Leo's eyes open. Hope filled inside her as she looked down at her Leo. She called the nurses in to check him over and before they left Scar asked the nurse to tell her friends that Leo was finally awake. Just saying that out load made her happy and she finally smiled for the first time in a while. She held his hand and he grasped hers back tighter, using his thumb to rub circles on her hand and it was just like old times. She felt happy but she then looked into Leo's eyes and she saw how much pain he was actually in. His eyes gave his feelings away and Scar began sobbing.
"Hey I'm awake now aren't I" Leo whispered. Scar nodded as she reached into her pocket and pulled out the Rolex watch. "Happy late nine months" she said handing the box over to Leo. He flipped the lid and a small weak smile filled his face, Scar knew he was happy. "Scar thank you this is the best gift ever it must have cost a fortune" he said. "Yes but your worth it" she told him. When he said her nickname she felt even more happy if that was even possible. "Where's my jacket?" he asked. "here" Scar said as she picked his jacket up and handed it to him.
Leo reached into his pocket and pulled out a small red box. "Scar I love you with all my heart and more I've loved you since the first day I met you and I made you a promise and I intend on keeping that promise" Leo told her. He then opened the box and turned it round and she was shocked. There was a ring, the ring was gold with a square cut diamond in the middle. It was perfect not too much but enough. Leo had never broke a promise to her and he had proved that he never would. Scar was so happy and she had tears forming in her eyes.
"My beautiful Scar will you marry me?" He asked her as he took the ring out of the box. "Yes, yes a million times" she replied full of excitement. Her friends could hear from the waiting room and they were full of happiness. Leo carefully placed the ring on Scar's finger and slid it down. Scar admired the ring for a while it really was beautiful. She stared at Leo for a minute. "I didn't think you'd wake" She admitted. "Always for you" he mumbled. Leo then moved to the side of his bed and patted the space next, Scar carefully climbed in and cuddled into Leo's arms. She missed his smell, his warmth and his touch. She finally felt home and she felt safe.
She looked right into his eyes and he smiled. She forgot about the pain for a while because nothing else mattered. "I love you so much" Scar told him. "And I my darling Love you with all my heart" Leo replied. The two looked at each other and kissed, this kiss was different. They forgot about everything and shared another moment, one of those moments where its just them and they don't care about anything else. Scar loved these moments and she was going to miss them. It always made her remember when they first met and shared that first moment.
They broke apart and Scar moved back onto the chair. "I don't want you to leave me" Scar told him. Leo smiled at her as he said "I'm not leaving, I'm just saying goodbye for a little while and waiting" Leo replied. Leo then closed his eyes "I'm just taking a nap" he assured her. Sure enough it was just a nap and his heart monitor was still beating. Scar then began remembering.
