Lily, Zoe, Ryme, Kai, Kate, Leah,and even Shaun have all kept in close touch even though they've gone different ways.
Right now, Leah and Kate were on an inter-regional trip for Colorguard.
Lily studied a month abroad in Dublin, Ireland, and has been working a part time job as research assistant on shark tracking and research vessels.
Ryme had also found a passion in the surgical field of coronary heart surgery, and had a summer internship at the local hospital.
Zoe managed to get a job in a field requiring a lot of intelligence even though she was rather lazy.
Kai had studied a few months abroad in China for about a year as well.
Time had passed, Lily explained everything to the group when she was in a coma. It somehow became a distant memory as they continued their normal lives.
But the supposed memories they made with the ninja, always reoccurred.
Most of them began missing the ninja, some more than others, from Konoha and Suna and wherever else they came from.
But today was a happy day...
"I'M HOME!" Leah shouted barging out of her car into an all too familiar blue house's driveway. Ryme jumped up from her spot in the garage, her navy blue scrubs blotted with a red substance here and there.
"I see you've become a murderer, Ryme. Who was the victim?" Kate asked sarcastically stepping out behind Leah.
"What?! I would never kill an innocent soul! I just got back from work...I had to perform a surgery today with Lily!" Ryme retorted sarcastically, and moved out of the garage to meet her friends.
"Um, last time I checked I was a Marine Biologist. Also weren't you the one to come up with an elaborate plan to murder our old geometry teacher?" Lily asked stepping out of the house. She was in a fresh set of clothing...without any blood.
"Okay, I swear that teacher was just trying to make us suffer!" Ryme cried throwing her arms up in exasperation. "All she did was explain the parameters! She didn't explain how to actually do the GEOMETRY! Ugh, this is why I hate math in general."
"That sounds like something Kai would say." Kate snickered. "Speaking of which, isn't she coming over, too, since we're all getting together?"
"She should be. She's driving over here with Zoe and-oh dear God, KAI'S DRIVING! EVERYONE! OUT TO THE YARD!" Lily shouted realizing something terrible may happen.
Kai was amongst the worst drivers anyone had ever seen. Paired with her aim, she's gotten multiple tickets that she somehow managed to work her way out of one way or another. It was honestly a surprise when she passed her driving test, after the fifth try.
The silver minivan took a sharp turn, causing it to spin out of control and crash into a young tree. Planted in the very spot the ninja first supposedly appeared.
