Sidon's hands were shaking by his side as he stood infront of his father who was glaring down at him with disapproval. Oh, if only Link were there. He could probably calm his nerves.
It was so unlike Sidon to be nervous like this, but his father always scared him. Not only that, but he was coming to him with news he certainly would not take kindly to. The fact that he was ignoring his royal decree and going his own path would show true denial to his authority. He could have his head, if he ever so wished.
But Sidon would do anything for Link's love at this point. He was not going to sacrifice his dignity and mind for some childish woman that would only play his heart for a crown. He wanted what he wanted, and he would get it.
"What is it, Sidon?" The King glared at Sidon who had managed to straighten himself and fight against his nerves. He could do this.
"I have chosen...another spouse." He said, quickly realizing his courage was fading. He took a big gulp, eyeing his dad's reactions. But the king was intrigued.
"So I see. Where is she?" Sidon blinked away and back at him, almost as if he was searching for a hold on something.
"She's a... he," the words barely came out of Sidon's mouth, his voice choking. The king's eyes instantly grew with bewilderment. For the first time in a long time he stood up over Sidon, glaring down at him with the upmost disrespect he had ever seen.
"Son! You mean to tell me you are...lusting over a man?" The king began to pace back and forth as he thought about this matter. "Son- Sidon, you have to marry someone, and soon. I won't allow a homosexual marriage in my domain, especially one so goddamn important. You are marrying Jasmine, and that is FINAL!" His fist came down by his side as he stared at Sidon intensely.
"Now get out of my throne room. The last time you will be here is when you are getting married, tomorrow."
His guards came towards Sidon and began dragging him out of the room as he begged for his mercy. They placed him outside the doors and slammed them shut. Sidon stood there, pounding on the door, asking for a negotiation, but the guards standing near were watching him too much. He looked to them and dropped his arms and straightened his badge before turning and leaving with as much of his composure as he could contain.
There was no way he was marrying Jasmine, even if it meant breaking free from the Crown.

Link was sitting up and eating when Sidon stormed back into the room, a look of distress on his face. "What's wrong?" Link asked, but he already knew the answer. He had asked Sidon himself if he would go tell his father about it, and already he was regretting it.
"He wants me to marry, tomorrow." He stared coldly at Link, who was confused on what the issue was, though. "Okay, and? It's not like my wounds will stop-"
"To Jasmine."

Link's body felt numb. He stared at the fish on his plate, which he had suddenly lost all appetite for. "He's forcing you to marry her?" He said her name with the purest of hatred, and he meant it. Sidon's face was scrunched up and he nodded slowly.
"But that can't happen!" Link threw his fist down and stared at Sidon with a look of helplessness. Tears were filling his eyes suddenly. He knew it would be bad, but he did not expect that outcome. Sidon quickly rushed to his side and wrapped his large arms around Link's smaller form in order to hold him still. His hand moved to Link's head, holding it against his chest. "Shhh, it's okay..."
Link knew it was everything but okay. His heart pounded inside of his chest and he felt disconnected. He was going to lose Sidon to a bloody gold-digger tomorrow, someone who had no care for him but the crown. His touch only felt more important, more vital at that moment, but he also ached knowing he would not be able to feel it again tomorrow.
"Link, please, calm down," Sidon continued to hold his heaving body and he could feel his heart pounding. His own was weak as he tried to figure a way out of this. He thought Link could interrupt the wedding, but that would only make matters worse in the King's eyes; it would do more harm than good. It could cause him to be banished or even worse, executed.
"Just, promise me you won't do anything rash," Sidon said as he let go of Link so he could look him in the eyes. They were wide and staring off into the distance. He gulped and turned towards the Prince, "There has to be a way we can save this, though!"
Sidon shook his head. "For now, we have to let it happen. I can't think of a way that we could stop this without angering the King. And promise me you won't try to stop it in the middle of the ritual, either. Please. The King would have your head as soon as he possibly could."
"Surely I could, though," Link said, staring hard at him. "W-we could even run away tonight!"
Sidon stared at him back, "You know I can't do that. The domain is expecting my take of the throne. I am the one and only heir and the King is growing older. Besides, the King would send his men to search for me until the end of time."
There's no way this would be how it would end. Link was in complete denial. Sidon watched him lay down on his bed and grip the sheets so tight his knuckles started turning white. Sidon pulled at his hands to make him quit and slid his arms under his body, picking him up. Link protested, "What are you doing!" as he was carried out of the room bridal style in Sidon's arms. A nurse begged him to put him down, but he did not listen as he continued down the halls.
"Sidon where are you taking me?" Link asked, almost angry at him, but it was soon answered when they arrived at Sidon's room. He set Link on the bed and went back to close the door before joining him.
"I figured I would give you a chance to know what it was like to wake up to me in the morning, in my own bed." Sidon said, looking down at him before climbing under the covers and pulling Link into him. Link blushed and chills went down his spine when he felt Sidon's fingers move across his body. Without another word, Sidon closed his eyes and placed his chin on Link's head, immovable.
Link still did not feel right, he was going to lose the love of his life within hours. Nonetheless, he accepted Sidon's arms gratefully, the feeling of warmth over taking his body. If he was not going to have it tomorrow, he would accept it for today.
Link turned over and kissed Sidon deeply without a question. He moved back, surprised by the sudden gesture, but pushed forward with twice as much and brought his hands up to Link's head. Link then put his hands on his chest, running his hands over his body as Sidon's tongue slipped into his mouth and one of his hands moved to his chin, tilting it up to deepen the kiss more.
Link moved to get on top of him when the door slammed open and Jasmine screamed when she saw them entangled in the bed. Link jumped and slid off Sidon's body quickly who was staring wide eyed at her.
"What is going on?!?"
