this is so long i'm so sorry

tyler hummed sweetly as the ambulance drove him somewhere anonymous. the emt that sat in the back with him gave him concerned looks. tyler looked a little too happy for someone who just survived a suicide attempt and is now being escorted to a psychiatric hospital.

tyler was happy. he felt like he had to do this, he didn't belong in the real world. he was better off in there.

the ride felt like forever and finally the ambulance came to a stop. the two emt's opened the back and pulled out the stretcher that tyler was attached to. "woohoo!" he smiled as he was set onto the ground.

they decided to not comment on his behavior.

he was taken into the back of a huge building. what looked like two nurses to him were standing at the entrance, like they were waiting for his arrival.

they talked for a bit before the emt's said goodbye to tyler and the nurses took control of the stretcher.

"hello tyler." one nurse smiled. "my name is ebby, you will love it here." she said as they brought the stretcher into an elevator. "i know i will." tyler grinned.

they arrived at their floor. the doors opened, revealing a sign on the wall that said:

adolescent psych

they turned left and had to be buzzed into two sets of doors before arriving. tyler probably picked a pretty convenient time to come, it was almost 9 in the morning and he could already see a few teens.

he was met with a tall woman who smiled wide when he came in. "tyler welcome! i'm sure you will love it here! the nurses will help you out of that and i will show you around." she said.

the nurses unstrapped him as he stretched out his arms, hopping off of the stretcher. the nurses took it away while the woman brought tyler through another set of doors that led to a long hall. as he passed by each door way it showed a room. some empty, some messy, some with people in it.

he passed by a room with a boy in it. he had red hair and when he looked up at tyler who was passing by, he kept the stare until he was out of sight. tyler thought he looked weird.

she brought him into a room with a table and that was all. "okay tyler so a few things to get started. these bracelets will be worn at all times, unless you want your picture taken. then you don't need one at all." she said. tyler shook his head. "i want the bracelet." he said, reaching out his bandaged up arm.

they went over the daily schedule and brought tyler to every room. there was the classroom, the dining room, the day room, bathroom, quiet room, and finally his own room.

tyler received a bag full of clothes and other daily needs from his parents. he dug through the bag, picking out some random outfit. it was a mental hospital. no one cared how you look. he loved it.

he changed quickly, throwing the hospital johnny on the floor. he decided to explore, leaving his room he stepped into the long hallway. he went to the end, where the day room was.

he peered through the door window to see a bunch of teens in there. some playing cards, other drawing, and a few just talking. tyler opened the door slowly, causing everyone to glance over and stare when they didn't recognize the boy.
