6:00PM:
Cassie had finally pulled up to her house, breathing with relief. She forgot about 4 o' clock traffic, and got caught in it. She saw Gene's car, so she knew he was here, she got out of the car, walked over to the other side, opened the door, and took the doughnut box. She shut the door with her hip, and then locked the car. She walked up to the door, in which right as about she was about to open it, Gene did. She jumped a little bit. "Cassie? Jeez, you took your time." He said, and she nodded. "I brought doughnuts! I hope you like doughnuts! Because, I'd be pretty mad. Did you know every dozen costs 10$? Like how ridiculous!" She complained, and Gene smiled. "And little Ms. Princess here is from a rich family." Cassie laughed a little at his joke. "I guess I just like to feel normal." She murmured, and then changed the subject. "Well! I have no idea what kind of doughnuts you like, so I bought a bunch of different kinds." As he opened the box, she stared at him. He was wearing a striped white and blue dress shirt, with black sleeves. Boy, oh boy, was it tight on him. She swore it defined every muscle on his upper body. "Ah, nice! You got glazed!" He said, smiling at her. "Y-You like glazed?" He looked at her. "Why did I just stutter..?" He awkwardly smiled. "Yeah, I'm kinda boring." He said, looking at the doughnut. "N-No! I like glazed doughnuts, too.." She blushed, but looked away so he wouldn't notice. In the corner of her eye, she was watching him eat. Something about it made him really attractive to watch. And his frustration when he got some of the glaze on his face.. She giggled, unable to control herself and Gene looked at her. "What?" He asked. She felt her heart sink. "N-Nothing!" She ran up the stairs, and closed the door to her room. She slid down against the door, feeling her face very hot. "Why am I acting like this?" She thought to herself. She stood up, and took a deep breath in, then out. She looked around for a certain box. It was the only colored box she had. Eventually, she found it hiding underneath and behind some other boxes. She opened it and brought out her sketch book, where she had multiple designing's for dresses. She went over to her desk, and began to draw one. This time, she drew one for more of.. 'sexy play'. It was a corset, with corset briefs. She brought out her colored pencils, and drew multiple complicated lines, and colored the top with a bright red.
"You're pretty good at drawing." Instinct kicked in, and she stood up instantly, turned around, and pushed Gene to the ground. "Hey! Stupid bitch! It's just me!" Cassie took a deep-breath. "I'm so sorry! That's what you get for scaring me!" She howled. He stood up, and walked out. She watched curiously, and he came back with a chair. "Could you draw me?" He asked her. She turned the page. and drew a dick. "Beautiful, I'm being serious." Cassie looked at him. "Don't call me beautiful!" She whined. "I thought you liked it." He retorted, and this time, she ignored him, trying to convince herself not to get flustered. "Fine, I'll draw you." She said, pleading that he would just let her change the subject. And he did. He smiled at her as she drew lightly with her blue mechanical pencil, each line she stroked gently. And eventually, she finished. He stared at the picture. "Cassie, it's great!" Then, his phone began to ring. He took it out, and looked at it. Then he smiled at her. "Excuse me." He walked away, and she quickly drew hearts around her drawing. Then she shut the book, and went over to his door. Out of curiosity, she placed her ear on the door. "Hello?" She heard. "No. I'm not moving back in with them." She heard him begin to get upset, and she got a little frightened as he began to yell. "Yes, Jake! I realize how much trouble I'll be in if they realize I stole a million dollars from them! But who the hell cares? They're billionaires! They're our PARENTS! They shouldn't mind!" She heard him sigh. "I know. I don't really want to leave the home I'm in. It's a nice house." He hesitated a moment, it sounded as if he was going to say something else. "Well, never mind that. Either way, I'm not going back." After a long pause of silence; she heard him say; "Well, Goodbye, Jake!" She quickly raced over into her room, sat down, and erased the lightly drew hearts with her eraser. He came back over. "Hey, did you miss me?" Gene asked, and Cassie smiled. She brought out a pen, and began to finalize her drawing. "Cassie, it's pretty late, we should get going to sleep." Under her breath, she said. "Do you really care?" He looked at her. "What'd you say, Cassie?" Cassie smiled. "Sorry, I just said that I agree. I guess I'm pretty tired, if I'm talking under my breath." Gene laughed. "Yeah, see! Haha, I'm always right." Gene said, and left the room, shutting the door behind him.
10:00PM:
It's been half an hour since Gene went to sleep. Cassie lied in her bed, in her pajamas, staring at the ceiling. "Why do I feel like he's rejected me? Why.. Why did I even develop feelings for him? I've known him for two days. Crazy how much someone can change.. But I can't like Gene. I can't like him at all. I feel like if I were to ever date him, then I would always end up getting hurt." Cassie said very quietly, as she resisted her own tears, and slowly fell asleep.
9:00AM:
So, Cassie decided that she would avoid Gene. She walked downstairs, opened the doughnut box, and picked one of the glazed out. She poured herself orange juice, and had 'breakfast.' If she avoided Gene, she knew he would never know about her feelings. She thought with every bite she took. She blamed herself for liking someone she didn't really know. But in reality, she knew him all along. He was cold-hearted. He was a criminal. He stole money from his parents, ran away from home, treated everyone close to him like shit. Would she become one of those people? No. Not today. "Cassie?" She heard a tired voice. She didn't even turn to look at him. She said nothing. She opened the door, and shut it behind her, as she walked toward the road. "Cassie!" He called after her, opening the door. "Don't go!" She had no interest in listening to him. Then, she heard the front door shut. Had he finally given up? Would he leave her alone? She walked along the street, and turned her head, just in time to see a car turning to exactly where she was. She felt a great force shove her, and she slid against the black street. She felt tears streaming down her face. "GENE!" She cried. The person driving the car got out, and stared horrifically at the scene as they called an ambulance. Isn't it funny, that you only realize how much you love someone, once they get hurt?
