I walked down the hallway, past Alice's closed door, and slowly down the stairs.
I saw my mom in the kitchen on her phone. Her long blonde hair was partially covering her face as the light of the phone screen flashed into her blue eyes, making them glitter prettily.
"Hey Mom, I'm gonna go for a short walk. Just down the sidewalk and back. Be back in a couple of minutes." I called to her as I made my way to the front door.
She gave a small 'mm-hm' before I opened the door and stepped onto the front porch.
The crisp morning air gave a small breeze as the morning sun shone down prettily on the scenery in front of me.
I stepped down the front steps and turned to the sidewalk leading down to the left of our house.
I stuck my crutches out in front of me, and gently took a couple of small steps towards them.
"Ah!" I gasped as I put my full weight onto my injured foot. It hurt a bit, but it seems the medicine nulled most of it.
I continued down the sidewalk, past four or five houses, until I got to the end of the block leading to the T-shaped intersection of the next street.
I carefully turned myself around, happy that I was making progress without it hurting that bad.
I looked up from my feet and froze.
There he was.
My gaze met the boy's as he continued walking in my direction. It was the guy from yesterday, wearing the same clothes, giving off that same weird vibe. He was walking down the sidewalk towards me. He was about three houses down, and still coming.
'Gosh...' was all I could think of as the sun shone down onto his skin and hair, making both bright and beautiful in the morning light.
If I wasn't such a cheesy person, I'd say he looked like an angel.
I snapped myself out of my thoughts once more.
I shook my head, dismissing the thought that he was coming to me. He was probably just taking a morning walk too.
I stuck my crutches back out in front of me and made several more steps back towards my house.
In no more than a few seconds, the boy stood directly in front of me.
His tall figure towered over my 5' 7", probably around 6' 1" or so...but he was even more gorgeous up close. Everything was ten times better.
I realized that I was staring at him.
My cheeks flushed a bit as my eyes fluttered a couple of times. I glanced down at my feet, realizing I was in his way.
"S-sorry..." was all I mumbled out.
I watched as he raised a hand and used one finger to push my chin up.
My gaze met his for a moment of silence.
After a couple of seconds of looking at me, he gave another breath-taking smile before he used his other hand to press something into my pocket.
He didn't say a word as he let me go and walked around me.
I stood there for a moment, my face was quite warm now, as I thought about what just happened.
He had blue eyes too. Like Alice and Mother. They were so pretty. They matched perfectly with his blonde hair and fair skin.
