The walk all the way to the nearby town was silent.

Chester still held my hand, I don't know why, while Snow was obviously distraught about it.

He kept glancing at our hands and turning away, his eyes showing...anger? Jealousy? I can't really tell. I have a hard time reading people...

We eventually reached the town. I noticed the path cut right through the middle, dividing the town in two.

...very strange.

We continued on and walked right through, apparently not having business there. I caught sight of a few people of either side of the town but nobody paid us much attention.

As the town was fading behind us, I turned my head to Chester.

"Hey Chester, why was that town divided in half?" I asked him, my curiosity getting the better of me.

His eyes flicked down at our conjoined hands momentarily, before he looked back ahead of him.

"Everyone calls that town Divercity. If I recall correctly, it's because females live on one side while men live on the other. They interact during the day for shopping and such, but they stay mainly on their gender's side." He turned his head towards me as a smirk played across his lips. "Of course, once a year, they get together to do...other important things..." he finished with an evil grin.

I blinked, not understanding for a moment.

Then it hit me like a truck.

My face flared up like it was on fire and I whipped my head down to try and hide it.

I heard Chester laugh before he stopped.

He raised his free hand to my chin and pushed my head up. My eyes met his and a small gasp escaped my mouth.

His eyes were full purple like in the woods and the bedroom.

He leaned down to my ear.

"That day is always fun. No matter what gender you are...boy and girl...boy and boy..." he whispered in my ear before he bit the tip softly.

Another gasp evicted from my mouth at the action, as my face heated even more.

"D-Don't tease me..." I whispered, using my free hand to gently push at his chest while I turned my face slightly away from him.

He chuckled before straightening up and looking at me.

"Tease? I'm being quite--" he froze and I watched out of the corner of my eye as the purple in his eyes diminished until they went back to normal.

He blinked a couple of times and noticed my red face. His mouth fell into a slight frown as he let go of my hand and raised his arms up in front of him in a sort of defensive way.

"Please ignore whatever just happened! I..." he trailed off looking towards Snow who had stopped. "I wasn't thinking clearly." He finished.

"You guys coming?" Snow called looking at us.

Chester glanced back at me one more time before walking away.

'What the heck.' the voice stated in my head.

'No idea...' I told it.

'Well, aside from how utterly embarrassing that was...I have to say he's cute.'

'I'd have to agree.' I responded before following after Chester.

We continued walking down the path, through flat plains and rolling hills for another hour or so.
