As soon as I stepped through the door, I felt a tingly feeling run throughout my body as I closed my eyes.
I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.
In front of me was a garden similar to Mrs. Copperfield's.
There were many different flowers planted around, ranging in color from light to dark and in many intricate shapes.
Then something that I didn't expect happened.
The flowers moved.
And they had faces.
And they talked.
Not to mention they were as tall as me, if not taller.
"Who is that?"
"Is that her?"
My mind was blown.
"Talking...flowers..." I whisper to myself as I look around at the flora surrounding me.
"She's back!"
"Woah look at her she's beautiful!"
I turned around to look at who they were talking about but just found the rabbit next to me, the doorway we stepped through nowhere to be seen.
"Look at her dress!"
After a moment I realized they were talking about me and I slowly looked down at myself.
My face immediately started heating up from embarrassment at the sight.
I was wearing a navy-blue button-up dress shirt with a dress connecting to the waist. The dress was white at my hips fading to pink at the trim. From the feel of it, I was wearing high-heels too.
"What the hell!" was all I could yell.
"Oh my! What's wrong with her?" One yellow flower near me asked the red one next to it.
I turned towards the yellow one.
"Her?! I'm not a her! I'm a boy!" I shouted, slightly angry.
Suddenly all of the talking seized.
Silence was thick in the air as they all stared at me.
"What?" I asked, feeling confused and angry about the whole situation.
I mean, I know I'm small and skinny and stuff but come on! I don't look like a girl!...do I?
"You're not Alice?" I heard a new male voice behind me ask.
I turned to see the rabbit standing on its hind legs, staring straight at me.
My eyes went wide as I realized it was the rabbit who talked.
"You can talk too?!" I ask completely surprised.
"Of course! Now, answer the question!"
"Uh, n-no. I'm Alex, Alice is my sister." I said still slightly in shock of talking rabbits and flowers.
The rabbit's mouth dropped as fear clouded its eyes.
"Oh dear...oh dear oh dear...I brought the wrong person. Oh no, this is bad. What are we going to do? We can't get you back until all is right." The rabbit turned and started mumbling to himself, completely blocking out the rest of the world.
I looked down at myself before gazing around at the flowers, all of which stayed silent, watching us.
I still couldn't quite process what was happening exactly.
