"Ladies and gentlemen," The scientist booms repeatedly, calming the anxious crowd. Almost immediately, the whispers began to die down, all the eyes averting to Dr. Cuyler. When the silence began to grow heavy, Dr. Cuyler pushed the bridge of his vintage glasses up his curvy nose and began his revolutionary speech.

"The year is 2203. Our human race has conquered the worst. We beat the vicious plague of 2157 and even managed to find a cure for many diseases, one of which is cancer. Our average human now is sick free from birth, thanks to the scientists of Musgrave International Experimental Lab." The claps and whistles intensified as Dr. Cuyler motions to the men in white lab coats behind him.

"Thank you," Dr. Cuyler smirks, as the crowd finally goes back to their silent state. "Thank you. But our scientists haven't stopped there. Ladies and gentlemen, our human race is full of evolution. Everything is evolving around us for the better. Its about time we have as well."

More claps erupt from the crowd.

"What does perfect mean? Perfect is defined as having all the required or desirable elements, qualities, or characteristics; as good as it is possible to be. So what is the perfect human?" Dr. Cuyler lets the question run threw the minds of the people in the auditorium, before motioning the third scientist to fetch his precious experiment.

"Well, my fellow citizens, the definition of the perfect human is held in Dr. Layns arms." Just as Dr. Cuyler wrapped up his sentence, Dr. Layn emerged, triggering multiple gasps.

The infant in Dr. Layns arms was mainly light skinned with little hint of any colour, dotted with gold specks on her angelic, sharp face. She was tall for her age and thin. But none of that was what captured the people.

It was her icy blue eyes.

"This six month old female, is the first of her kind. Her beauty, intelligence, agility, emotional stability, senses and more, enhanced before birth. Thus in the making of the perfect human."

And at that moment as Dr. Cuyler finished his speech the most astounding event occurred.

"Hoo-ma'." The infant suddenly cooed, trying to copy Dr. Cuylers last word. Her body flinching at the surprised gasps and roaring clapping that exploded threw out the audience. The infants eyes bulged in terror, as she was forced sit on the cold, metal table before the scientists. The noises continued, as she rose from her place, on her own and tried to wrap her scrawny arms around Dr. Layn's neck. Only to be turned back around to the crowd and watch the men bask in their glory.

And as the presentation came to an end, she was returned to her white, windowless room. There, is where she was thrown into her glass framed mattress, forced pinky-sized pills by strange men and left alone in the dark. Its been like this since the day the infant could remember.

The infant didn't know how much she deserved to be loved, or how much of her childhood was stripped from her. All she knew was when she woke up the vicious cycle would begin.
