Plenty of my friends hangout at Lunchtime in the Nipa Hut area. Sometimes the boys take the hut we sit in, but it's not a bother as we can annoy them equally by sitting in theirs. It's fun doing that kind of payback to them. The girls who sit with us are fun, nice and just amazing people, each with their own quirky personality. That's what I love about all of my friends. Sometimes you'll have 2 or 3 who do the same sport, then there is me and Melanie who are the only 2 riders in the grade! We have plenty of strange conversations in the hut, and today had one of them.

After going to get my lunch, I came into the hut to hear Melanie and Robyn singing. It wasn't just any song, but after watching what Robyn was doing, I found out that it was the knife song (I would later on memorize about half of it). I enjoyed doing it, but with my arm wrapped, I sighed and thought maybe another time.

Alexandra and Savannah always sat at the sides of the door. There were some raised platforms and I sat on Savannah's side. A while back I remembered asking Alex if it was her seat or Talia's. Talia was sitting on the side of the hut, where you were meant to sit on, next to Alex. They both said that it was whoever got there first. Most of the time Alex did, but sometimes Talia did too. '

That day, Perrie was also in the Nipa Hut. She was talking to Jenna about a trip they were both going on involving Drama and acting. I watched Robyn and Melanie's 'preformances' of the knife song, and laughed along with the rest of them.

Wilma was on her phone, kind of expected. She sometimes complains about getting left out to me and I do my best to help, but I think that the others assume that she doesn't want to talk due to the fact that most of the time she is on her phone. We've had ups and downs, so far so good.

Then there is me. I used to be really close to specific people, but since a whole load of girls left our school last year, there isn't anyone I felt particularly attached to. And that's fine. I like being able to have a group of friends rather than just one. Jenna, who was finished talking to Perrie said that my hair was really soft, and began brushing it with her fingers. I laughed. My fairly dark brown hair was usually Jenna's favourite thing to play with when it came to hair. My brown eyes twinkled as I looked back at her.

These were the people that I wanted to spend my days at school with - my close Nipa Hut buddies.
