It started out as one, simple, click.
Normally, one click wouldn't send you on a wild goose chase around the world, chasing after something that was never there.
This is my story.

Secret_Keeper: I feel like I've known you all my life. You're almost exactly like me.
Plain_Jane_Writer: XD. Becca, You're the one who's changed my life, not me.
Secret_Keeper: Thanks Jane. <3. I've got to go... My Boyfriend is making me do The Girlfriend Challenge for his YouTube channel. You should check it out.
Plain_Jane_Writer: I will. What's the channel?
Secret_Keeper: MainLineDave. Talk to you later?
Plain_Jane_Writer: Yep! :) Have fun XD
I closed Wattpad on my phone, smiling to myself. Online was so much better than the real world, where everything was full of dog face filters and selfies.
"Babe? You ready?" Dave, my egotistical boyfriend called out to me from the living area of his house, where the bright lights had already been set up. Rolling my eyes, I stood up from out of my wooden chair, and walked to the scene of the video.
"Yes." I said plainly, the white blinding my eyes for a second.
"Are we ready?" Dave smiled his picture perfect, pretty boy, straight toothed smile. "Yes, If you'd just sit down." He laughed, and I forced a grin.
Truth be told, I hated this lifestyle. Parties where you drank all night with your friends, all the time blasting loud pop music, was just so irritating. The only reason I was still friends with Marley, Owen, and Dave is because if I left them, I'd be nothing but an invisible girl who no one knew their name, and I certainly didn't want that. Sitting down, the plastered smile still on my face was convincing enough, because Dave didn't stop to ask if I was okay, and nodded for the crew to start the video.
"Hi everyone! Welcome to the video.."
To be honest, I drained out the rest of the video. All I had to do was say my lines. Yes, the whole thing was scripted. Shocker. Dave never did anything if he didn't have to.
"And that's a wrap!"
James, Dave's producer yelled once my boyfriend finished his cheesy, merchandise worthy, ending slogan of, "Stay in the MainLine!".
"Becca!"
I blinked.
"Becca you there?"
Dave's hand waved in front of my face.
"I-uh what?"
I stammered. Dave laughed.
"The video's up. We're meeting Marley and Owen at Starbucks. " My insides sighed dramatically. No choice what to do with my 'life', again.
"Great!" I smiled.
"I'll get my purse."
Even though Starbucks was a typical 'white girl' stereotype, the coffee was still really good. I stood up and went over to my stuff, which was lying on the expensive IKEA leather couch, and, like after every video Dave posted, my phone was blown up with Twitter notifications. Rolling my eyes, I scrolled through to see if Jane had seen the video, which she hadn't, because there wasn't a text from her. Grabbing my purse, I headed out to my black Jeep Cherokee, where Dave, that arrogant asshole, was waiting for me, leaning on the front of it.
