"I need two tickets to Thailand." I said quickly, my hair flying in front of my face.

My mom's brows furrowed in confusion. "What? Becca, you have school. You can't just leave everything behind you and go to Thailand." She said. "Why even Thailand?. Why not Hawaii or something?"

I breathed in slightly. I had to lie. I couldn't tell her about what had happened. Jane's conversation with me flashed through my head.

Secret_Keeper: Thailand. Random right?

Secret_Keeper: Why? Everyone I know who's adopted is from like, China. Thailand is in the middle of nowhere.

"Well?" My mother's voice cut through my head.

"Um, It's for World Studies. I got chosen to go to a country of my choice, and I chose Thailand." I smiled, hoping she bought it.

"Hmm.." she said.

"How come I didn't know about this until now?" Her eyebrows raised slightly.

"No permission form, no notice or email..." She muttered.

"Please?" I asked, flashing my best puppy-dog eyes at her.

"If I let you go, you'll have to be on your best behavior." She said nonchalantly. "How long will you be there?" She typed something in her laptop.

"14 days, 13 nights." I stated, I had planned this out all in my head. It had given me enough time to find and meet Jane, and see my home town in all of it's glory. My mother laughed.

"You've planned this out well Becca." She smirked at me.

"14 day, 13 nights it is." She typed the dates into her laptop, confirming my trip.

"I expect you to help pay for this when you get back." The confirmation of my stay printed out on the counter behind us.

"Go get it." she ordered, pointing to the counter. Nodding, I walked over, a new pep in my step. I was actually going to Thailand.

"I'm going to go pack." I stated, running up to my room, holding in a squeal. I raced past my dad, who looked bewildered.

"What's up with her?"

I closed Wattpad on my phone, slightly confused. Jane was acting, odd. I set it on my bed, walking over to my closet, taking some t-shirts and some crop tops Marley had forced me to buy one shopping trip. My phone pinged again, and my hands flew towards it. Was it from Jane?

"Yes." I said aloud as I texted her back. "I'm going to Thailand!" I squealed to myself, my fingers tapping eagerly against my screen.

"Mom?" I yelled down to her.
