A/N:

Hi! So, I ended up not updating later on yesterday because I had to go to the doctor's to see what's up with me and why I'm vomiting all over the place. The doctor said I was just dehydrated but I told her I've been drinking at least ten cups of water a day. So, now we're going to have to do a bunch of tests on me to make sure I'm not dying.. *watch it just be a stomach virus* But, if I end up dying, I'll make sure to finish this story before I pass. Even if that means dying with a laptop on my chest :3 Yeah, so lets not get sad and all. Here's chapter 13 of It's Actually Kind of Funny!!!

Next Day Lunch- Day 3 at The Priory Hospital in Altrincham

*Dan's POV*

I sat in the cafeteria next to Jason and Luke who were too caught up in their own conversation to even notice me. I didn’t mind, I just smiled at the fact that Jason and Luke were getting closer to each other every time they saw one another. I couldn’t help but gloat at the fact that if it weren’t for me Jason wouldn’t even have met Luke.

I looked over at the other table, where I saw Phil sitting with Charlie and Cat, talking to them with a huge smile on his face. I grinned to myself, noticing how looked visibly better than when I first laid eyes on him. His pale skin had more color to it and his eyes were a brighter shade of blue. He even looked healthier since he had been eating at every meal we had.

After music exploration, Phil and I agreed that we wouldn’t hang out with each other until after his therapy session today. I had to meet up with Dr. Armstrong, who was coming here as well to discuss when I could get out of this place. But, even though I knew I’d be seeing Phil shortly after the sessions we were having after lunch, I couldn’t help but feel like there was something missing.

--

Lunch quickly passed and I headed to my dorm, Dr. Armstrong already sitting in a chair with his notepad in his hands. I sat down on my bed, facing his direction as he smiled at me. “Hey Dan, how are we doing?” he took out his pen and prepared to jot things into his notepad. “Well, obviously not that great,” sarcasm leaked through my voice, “I mean, I’m in a mental hospital.” He laughed, noting my sarcasm as a good sign.

“So, how did we end up in here?” he looked up from his notepad after he was done taking notes. I gave him the whole rap, starting from Friday night at Chris’s, to the session I had with him on Saturday, to the vomiting Saturday night, to how I planned on committing suicide, finishing off with how I entered myself in here. He quickly wrote in his booklet, lining his pen to the pace of my voice.

“Have you experienced anything the doesn’t usually happen in your basic life?” Dr. Armstrong looked at me, studying my expression. I smiled and I remembered everything that has been happening these past three days. “Actually, yeah,” I breathed, “The man in my stomach kind of disappeared and I’ve been eating all of my meals with no problems, sometime even having seconds.” I perked up and in my sitting position and Dr. Armstrong stayed silent, indication for me to go on. “I kind of ditched Chris and took a break from PJ,” I sighed, “I’ve been trying to introduce myself to new people in here instead.”

Dr. Armstrong smiled at me, looking like he knew I made a great decision. “That’s great Dan!” he sounded enthusiastic, “So, who are these new peoples you’re talking to?” I thought about everyone I had met, Luke, Jason, Cat, Charlie, but most of all, Phil. “I’ve been mainly talking to only three although I sometimes I talk to a girl named Cat and boy named Charlie,” I grinned. Dr. Armstrong nodded and continued listening to my babbling. “I’ve been mainly talking to my dorm mate, Jason, and another patient who’s now apparently Jason’s best friend, Luke, and another patient I met, Phil,” I smiled at the sound of his lifting off of my lips.
