A/N:
Hey, so I decided that I want the last chapter to be long so I'm making this the last chapter.. But, the story still isn't over after this chapter because I'm doing an epilogue that I guess is pretty important if you want to know how all the characters turn out to be. Anyways that's all I've got to say, here's the Final Chapter of It's Actually Kind of Funny!
Next Morning- Day 7/Last Day at The Priory Hospital in Altrincham
*Dan's POV*
I was walking through an empty forest, down the only safe path in sight. Nothing but trees were surrounding me, slowly swaying side to side in the warm breeze. I heard light tweets from birds and other animals as climbed along the trail.
I had no idea where I was, but for some reason I felt safe and didn’t really care. I didn’t have anything with me except for the clothing upon my body.
I kept walking until I saw a figure not far in front of me, I knew exactly who it was. “Phil!” I began to run towards the figure that turned around and stood still. “Phil!” I yelled again but the figure only stood still, looking at me and smiling.
Before I knew it, I got to the boy and wrapped my arms tightly around him. “P-Phil,” I gasped for air as he hugged me tightly, “I-I I love you.” I didn’t hear a reply but before I knew it the lips of the boy were collided against mine. It was quick before he pulled away and smiled, “I love you so, so, so much,” I hugged him.
My eyes slowly creased open as I felt the sun coming through the shades, blinding me. I sat up and looked around, only to realize that I wasn’t in my dorm. It looked exactly the same but it wasn’t mine and I knew it wasn’t. I looked over to the other bed only to see an adorable, sleeping Phil.
I slid out of the bed, shaking off my morning grogginess and walking over to his side. I lightly pushed his side until he started to swat me away with his hand. “I’m coming,” he stretched out the last syllable before turning to his side and trying to fall back asleep.
“We get to leave today,” I sat down on the side of his bed. Before I knew it, Phil was jumping out of his bed and heading to the exit with an excited smile on his face. “Well, come on,” he swayed his hand to the exit before I ran after him.
We got to the cafeteria and decided to sit alone, away from anyone else, again. We got our trays of food and began to eat the slowly, having small talk between every bite of food.
“So, what did you dream about last night?” I decided to bring up the topic of dreams since mine was a pretty good one. Phil suddenly went incredibly still and quiet before slouching into his seat and shrugging. “I didn’t really have a dream last night,” he spoke quieter. Did I say something wrong? Did I say something to suddenly make him act so awkward?
“What did you dream about last night?” Phil turned the topic towards me and I blushed a little. I couldn’t tell him what I actually dreamt about for the sakes of things being awkward between us. “Oh, I dreamt about finding this guy in the forest and I already knew he was and we both kissed and stuff,” I didn’t completely lie; I just didn’t tell him the guy was him.
I looked up to see Phil’s reaction before he just widened his eyes and looked back down at his food. He knew something that I didn’t, but I decided not to over analyze it. For the rest of the time we ate in a non-awkward silence, the kind of silence you can enjoy. A lady from the staff walked into the cafeteria before announcing, “Activities after breakfast are canceled after breakfast!” Everyone cheered as if the activities sucked at this place. “Instead, Dan Howell,” she pointed towards me and I smiled, “Is going to be drawing for every patient and staff her!”
