Chapter Two

My mum was practically bursting with excitement as we walked to the train station. What's with her anyways? Is she glad because I waited until I was sixteen to get a tattoo?

Pshh, like I had a choice. My subconscious tells me.

Annabeth seemed less excited, a little hurt, even. Maybe she was unhappy because I actually won one of our fights. Or maybe she was just bummed because I would most likely find my 'other half' before she will. Not like I even want to.

As we arrive, my green eyes search the crowd for my blonde friend, until a pair of hands gets placed over them.

"Guess who?" Asks a very high pitched voice.

"Minnie Mouse?" I guess.

I hear lower pitched laughter, and I turn around to see Niall cracking up.

Mother wears a small smile on her face.

And Annabeth still looks as if she's down.

Mum had always thought Niall and I would make a good couple, but she only told me once, because she didn't know if our markings would match when we actually got them.

I met Niall when I was 9, when he and his father delivered a package at our door.

*Flash back*

I hear a knock on the door. We never get visitors. I know I shouldn't open the door for anyone, but my curiosity takes over, anyways.

I run to the door, not caring if Mum thinks I should wait for her.

My fingers quickly unlock the door, and opened to see who the guests are.

In front of me stands a blonde boy, who looks about as old as I am. With him, stands an older man, who seems to be his father.

"Um, hello," I politely said, my eyes not breaking contact with the boy's.

"Hi! I'm Niall! I'm here with my papa to deliver your mail!" He says, over excitedly.

"Um, hold on a minute, let me get my mum," I reply, with a small chuckle.

I run to my Mum's room, telling her about the folks waiting at the door.

She quickly scolds me for opening it up before telling her, until realizing we were keeping them waiting.

We approach the door, and mum's eyes light up.

"Hello, Michael. Hello, Niall. Long time no see. You're in the mail business now?" She greets.
