Moonlight/She

She sat in the moonlight reflecting off the bed

She sat and looked at the sky

The silver light tangling into her brown hair

Her eyes sparkled with a childlike wonder

Her eyes glistened with the stars of the universe

The cool bedroom air resting on her bare legs

The moonlight making her shine bright

It's a shame she'll never see her beauty

It's a shame she never believes me when I tell her all that she's worth

The universe is held captive in her gaze

She watched the earth as if time was frozen

I wish she could love herself as much as I love her

I wish she could love herself as much as she loves the universe
