22. Consequences & Repercussion (PART II)

After I received that text from Jordan I rushed to get my stuff that was scattered across the beach towel.

"Where you going?" Ahmad yelled trying to catch up with me.

"My dad's in the hospital. I have to go see him"

"Let me come with you" he said trying to grab the keys from me.

"No!" I said knowing Jordan was gonna be there and they didn't get along at all. "These may be the last few moments I have with my dad so I just wanna be alone. Can you just get an uber please and I'll be home later"

He looked hesitant but nodded slowly.

"Be safe, ma" he said kissing my forehead. I nodded and slid in the car and pulling off toward Jackson Memorial Hospital.

I walked into the hospital with a bikini top on and a sheer skirt and flip flops with sand all over my legs but I didn't care I just wanted to see my father.

"I'm here to see Terrance Taylor"

"You family?" she asked me and I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah I'm his daughter" I said with my hand on my hip and she raised her eyebrow at me before typing something on her computer.

"He's in room 202. Take the north elevator to the third floor and it'll be the first door on the right" she said handing me a visitor's pass.

"Thanks" I said taking the pass before following the directions she gave me. When I got to the third floor I saw Jordan and Cam sitting down. Jordan had his head in his hands and Cam was just on his phone.

"Ahem" I said clearing my throat. They both came over and greeted me.

"Have you gone in yet?" I asked Jordan.

"Nah we were waiting on you" he said back.

I nodded and took a deep breath before slowly opening the door. When I was able to see into the room my heart fell out of my chest. I covered my mouth in shock as I saw him hooked up to all those wires. I'd never seen him look so weak.

He opened his eyes and signaled us over to him. He looked at Cam confused and I knew it was time for me to explain the situation.

"Daddy this your son Cameron."

He raised his eyebrow at me and Cameron started to explain.

"Do you remember a lady by the name of Tamika Harrison?" he asked and Daddy nodded.

"Well she's my mother" his eyes widened and his monitor started beeping faster.

The nurse rushed in seeing my daddy's heart rate increase.

"You all have to leave" she said to us with a hand on her hip.

I scrunched my face up. "You got me fucked up. This is my daddy and I'm not going anywhere"

"Ma'am I'm asking you nicely to please exit. If I have to ask you again I will get security involved.

"And? You think I give a damn about security. My daddy over there damn near dead and you telling me I can't spend any time with him. I'll be fuckin damned"

"Stasi..." Jordan said trying to get my attention but I just kept on ranting to the woman telling her to get the fuck out of my face.

"STASI!" Cam said getting my attention.

"What? What do y'all want?" I said obviously irritated, that is until I heard a long beep.

I looked over at my dad. His eyes were closed. His heart monitor line was straight and it didn't look like he was breathing.
