The bell rings and I start looking around as other kids leave the room. I slowly follow suit until I feel a soft tap on my shoulders. I look behind me to see Mallow looking at me with a cheery smile. She surely seems to be a happy one.

"Ash, you're new here right?" She asks me as we walk together now. I nod in response as we turn to the right, following the other kids. I start looking for Lillie but still can't find her.

"So you've come here before?" I ask, guessing by her attitude she has familiarity with the building.

"You bet! I came here last summer and it was super fun!" She says happily. Well guess that explains it. Mallow surely seems like quite the optimist.

"Cool, cause I'm going to need you to show me around." I say laughing. As we now walk outside we see round tables with six circular seats surrounding each table.

Mallow walks forward and turns left as she sits at a table with 3 other people. One with darker skin and a volcanic looking hairstyle, one with blue hair and blue eyes and one with orange hair and a smaller stature.

"Hey Mallow, who's this you got there?" The girl with blue hair asks, gesturing towards me.

Mallow sits down, motioning for me to sit next to her. "This is Ash Ketchum! He's from Kanto and he just came here from Alola." She says introducing me to them.

"Nice to meet ya! I'm Sophocles!" The orange haired kid greets happily.

"Hello Ash, my names Lana." The blue haired girl greets softly.

"I'm Kiawe. How are you Ash?" The boy asks. I smile at all of them as I enjoy the nice weather.

"I'm great, thanks!" I say gleefully. I hear a goofy sound and turn around to see what the source of it was.

I see what appears to be an Exeggutor with a 15 foot long neck. Five of them were clumsily walking down the beach. I let out a laugh, finding it's Alolan Form hilarious.

"So that's what an Alolan Exeggutor looks like. Awesome!" I say, noticing it's tail. That's really the only thing about it that's dragon like to be honest. Dragon type it is though. Weird.

"They're quite common around the shore. Be careful for their tails though. It truly has a mind of its own!" Lana says laughing, as I now notice the little head on it's tail.

"Freaky. Cool too though!" I say now turning back to the table.

"So are you enjoying Alola so far Ash?" Sophocles asks me as Pikachu happily squeaks from my shoulders.

"I think me and Pikachu are really liking it here. The weather is great, people are nice and there's all sorts of new Pokémon. What's not to love?" I say as I look to my right and see an empty seat next to me.

"Hey have any of you guys seen Lily?" I ask causing most of their faces to tense up. "The quiet blonde girl with the cute white hat?" I add, now causing them to give each other looks.

"How'd you meet her?" Mallow asks me in a lower tone than she had been using.

"She showed me around in the beginning of the day. Why, is that a bad thing?" I ask, now starting to question their sudden change of mood.

"Not at all, the girl could seriously use another friend. I hope that's why your asking where she is." Kiawe says sternly. Okay now this is getting confusing. What's the problem?

"Well I think we're friends. She seemed happy this morning. Is she lonely or something?" I ask sheepishly, hoping she just doesn't have a lot of friends.

"No. It's way worse than that."
