A delicate head lying on your pillow. Your hair fanning out, your face peaceful in the way I could just tell you were having sweet dreams. That was how I found you.

I trailed the backs of my fingers across your cheek, then kissed your forehead. And then thought, how strange would it be if I woke you? A lost little boy standing in your room. It still counts as breaking in, doesn't it? Still counts as creepy, if I stay here and watch you sleep until you wake up.

So I pluck the feather off my hat and lie it on your pillow, right where I know you'll find it. And then I slip back out the window, into the night air, so that I can wait for you.

I won't leave, Wendy. I won't stay away.

You'll wake and we will see each other and then, spend the rest of our lives together.

Sounds like an awfully big adventure, doesn't it?
