When Im running all I here is the sound of my heart beating and my blood rushing, the wind pushing against my face. It reminds me of when we were flying to Neverland, I feel weightless.
I stop and bend down, resting my hands on my knees. My light brown locks splayed all over and my baby hairs sticking to the back of my neck from the sweat. And im panting, panting so damn much that at first I don't hear you coming but then I do.
I hear the pounding of feet that was following and when I turn around I see you, pete.
Really see you.
I might not have gotten time before but I notice everything now. How your skin is tanned from working on the farm, your arms strong but lean. I see those broad shoulders and strong jaw. I see the sunkissed hair and the thick eye brows.
My pete is really all grown up.
And now Im scared because what If you're not the same?
