Chapter three

"Um, Captain?" I asked. He looked up and paused cleaning the dining table. His face lit up. "You look amazing, (Y/N)! I thought you'd retire because of your old age!"

I flipped him off. "Another free drink. Also, these clothes are a little... Skimpy, huh?"

He shook his head. "No, not at all. Hawk insisted those clothes over the ones I originally picked."

I arched an eyebrow. "And Hawk is?"

As if right on cue, a pig trotted into the kitchen. "Hawk," Meliodas said.

I drooled. "Dinner."

Hawk squeaked and hid behind Elizabeth, who was squealing excitedly.

"(Y/N)! You look amazing!" She ran over and hugged me. I shrugged. Her clothes looked more well-fitted. Mine just looked like I had a lot of junk and some nice hips. I did look good; my hourglass figure was model worthy. I just didn't like the clothes.

"Hey! (Y/N)!"

I looked out the window and saw a huge purple eye staring at me. I beamed and ran out the door. Diane was sitting by the tavern, King floating beside her. "Diane! King!" I waved and Diane picked me up. "Skimpy outfit, I know.," I said, rolling my eyes. Diane shook her head. "No, you look cute!"

King flew over to me, and I hugged him. "How's my little fairy doing?" He smiled. "Pretty well."

"And Elaine?" I asked, recalling memories of my best friend.

His face darkened. "She's... Dead."

Tears welled up in my eyes, and my hand flew to my mouth. He hugged me tighter. Elaine was my best friend, so much in fact that we were like sisters.

I bit my lip. "H-how?" I asked.

King shrugged. "At first, I thought it was Ban, but then I realized how wrong I was. They fell in love. A demon attacked, and Elaine tried to save Ban and gave him the fountain of youth. She died shortly after, and Ban cannot die."

I stood there, shocked. Ban and Elaine? Elaine died?

"Ban's trying to resurrect Elaine," Diane said. I looked down.

I love Elaine, I really do. But... I want to be with Ban.

I nodded. "Oh. Okay. Let me down, Diane."

She set me down and I walked into the tavern.

I sat on the bar and waited for our customers.

There's no way Ban could ever love me again if he fell in love with Elaine, I thought bitterly. Elaine is a beautiful fairy princess, so innocent. And I'm... Not.

"Hellllloooo, Waitress." Ban wrapped an arm around me, kissing my cheek. I flinched, but smiled.

We talked and laughed, and the first few customers came in. I let Elizabeth get one, I got the other two. As I walked towards them, I bit my lip.

I hope Ban doesn't notice that those laughs and smiles were fake.

I looked up at the two men sitting at the table.

"My name is-"

"(Y/N)," they said, and I looked closely at them. Wait. They... They couldn't have tracked me here... Oh. Oh no.
